WOW, that was weak - both from Bayern and that idiot red with the straight red to Buffon. What a clown.

yeah, pk was 75% ok but... situation like this. i don't know. that red was joke, i mean straight red for Buffon to whom it was first red card ever in CL and this was his last CL match... Anyway, Ronaldos pk was about as perfect as it can be and Zzhneemnxzz... that ex Arse goalie didn't have a chance.

I do not like the penalty call in that situation. It is a soft foul at best. I am not a penalty is a penalty guy. In my opinion, situations can and should dictate how a game is called. This is why Buffon went nuts. You simply do not call a soft penalty in that situation, especially when you do not have the best view. You let the game play itself out. Referee's should not be deciding games, especially ones of this magnitude. I also have doubts that it would have been called if the game were the other way around. No coincidence that it was an English ref as I have been harping on how bad the Premier league officiating has been all year long.
Onward. Find it hard to believe Real will play Bayern in the semifinals since that is now the final they want so expect to see them on opposite sides of the "draw" tomorrow."Two tears in a bucket, motherf*@#k it!", Lady Chablis

I completely 100% agree with everything you said. And there is ZERO chance Juve gets the pk with a call like that late in the game if the ball were on the other side of the field.
One German and one Austrian team both going today in Europa. Who do you like, Bason?
I don’t have any plays yet, but my leans are:
Atletico un 2.25 and 1 for the 1H
Salzburg/Lazio ov3
and a small, if not biased, lean to Marseille as I’d like to see them through, although I have little confidence in them.Last edited by DZ; 04-12-2018 at 12:04 PM.

I do not like anything that much today but I lean to:
Lazio+.5, I kind of liked the over but did not like the overnight line movement
Marseile, I see a 2-1 game here
Tough to bet the other two, if I had to bet them I would probably bet both draws and hope one hits."Two tears in a bucket, motherf*@#k it!", Lady Chablis

Disagree, Bason. Like you, I play soccer (four times a week and love it--at an age where most are . . . golfing!) and even though it's mostly pick-up-call-your-own-fouls, we'd call that one. That kind of contact in the box affects the play too much to be ignored. Obviously, some teams will get that call more often than others.

I get it JNG. Lots of people disagree with me on this one. I just don't like to see games decided this way. I feel the same about every sport.

130 EST: La Liga
Sevilla pk - even @ Deportivo
Gone now is the distraction of CL for Sevilla, which IMO was a factor in their dipping La Liga form over the last weeks. I'm banking on them having their heads on tight today. ML is very tempting, but I'm staying away in case recent form continues one more game. DLC is also a motivated team, a win gets them out of relegation for now, but lets face it, they narrowly escaped going down last year. Now flirting with Liga 2 this year. No less important is a win for Sevilla puts them back in Europa.
Not much to say about Sunday's MLS play. Atlanta was the better team, but made too many mistakes letting NYFC draw. Penalty, silly offside disallowing a goal, and of course the final goal by NYFC was preventable.IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME

Was just coming in to post Burnley, GL Snafu. The more I mull this game the more Burnley seems like the play. Strong defensively, very good home side, motivated. Chelsea's last was essentially a miracle win at Southampton down 0-2 late. A team they should have dominated.

Been busy this week and just took some time to watch a few Budesliga games that I taped.
Mark my words, this World Cup is going to be an epic disaster because of VR. I have seen some ridiculous reviews and non-reviews. The Cup game yesterday should of been a draw but was not due to an apparent quick whistle which nullified a review which would have given a goal. I have seen it all.
There is no way this will be used right at the World Cup. You have to remember that the World Cup has some terrible and I mean terrible referees as a result of FIFA's desperate desire to be all-inclusive (remember the disaster from Mali?). So to start with, at least half of these refs have no business being there and the real kicker is that the vast majority have never worked with VR, so they all have to be trained ahead of time. Who knows who will be in the truck. All of this leads me to believe that this World Cup will be known as VR Disaster.
FIFA is so bad it is hard to explain. No way this World Cup should have VR. It is not used universally, and even where it is used, it is used differently. They are simply not ready which will lead to a mess.
Sorry for the rant, but I am sick of seeing bad review after review in Germany. They even had a game where a penalty was called at halftime when the teams were already off the field!!
I was once a firm believer in replay, but it has gone too far in all sports. I really hate it now in every sport. Even in hockey now (don't get me started on offsides reviews!). The game is not played, nor is it meant to be played, in super slow motion in HD. Maybe I am getting old, but all of this is driving me nuts."Two tears in a bucket, motherf*@#k it!", Lady Chablis

He should have left a couple of years ago so it is about time.
Taking a shot with Gladbach Ov 2.5 today. Gladbach looks like an easier play at -120 but Wolfsburg has had their number lately, and while Wolfsburg has been struggling to score lately, I think we see a 2-1 game here either way."Two tears in a bucket, motherf*@#k it!", Lady Chablis

Going to take Leverkusen at Pk+125. This line is very telling to me with Dortmund +125 at home. They would usually be at least -125 in this game. I think they are asking for Dortmund money, plus Dortmund is simply not playing that well. Will take the team in better form even though Dortmund is a tough place to play.

been kind of slow lately, played blindly AS Roma yesterday because they had decent odds.
sunday and Serie-A day gameoutsmarting myself and playing O2½ +115
Cagliari is 4th in home O's (16 goals in last 4) and overall 5th and Bol 10th in O 2½'s
problem is, they have been scored against and haven't scored much themselves. doublejinx...
Juventus - Napoli
U2½ +120
DRAW +220
correct score 0-0 +750
Lazio-Sampdoria
DRAW +400
U2½ +170 ( ! )
last year Sampdoria lost @Lazio 7-3 so they might like to give some revenge from that
Arsenal, first match after Wenger news. I very very much doubt that end of the season goes in "one for Wenger"-spirit but team is more or less mess closer the season end and losing one crucial match out of next five could cause snowboll to hell effect: Arse plays WestHam tonight, Atletico, @ManU, @Atletico and Burnley (match could decide who plays in europe next year, 6th spot).
as i said i don't trust Arse players that much at the moment, WestHam will be relegated and Arsenal needs points for 6th... what could go wrong ? Well, local rivalry @home:
1stH O1½ +110
WestHam +½ +160
WestHam to win +550
O3½ +110
