A few posters wanted to have fantasy baseball again this year. I will run it, I have the time. The cost last year was $50 and we did it through league safe but I am not doing league safe again this year. My buddy who took third last year had some difficulty and his money is still in their possession.

I want to give the people who were in last year's league first dibs in this year. Sorry i do not have any emails as my computer fried losing everything.

What I want to do is improve the league and I do not think Yahoo sports will be an option as I think most of us thought it sucked. There are some things I would like to go over as a group before we start the league.

1. Fee, last year was $50 and we paid out the top 3 teams.. (12 Team League)

2. Scoring format and a website to keep scoring.

3. I think we should be able to have the option to change your lineup on a daily basis. Being stuck with a star player in your lineup for 5 day and being on the DL sucks.

4. Playoffs? last year we did not have playoffs and I was fine with that.

5. Draft night and time.

I do use Yahoo for another league for years and it does everything we've ever thought of. Its free but I really don't care either way.

If it can do what we want for free than that is fine.. I have nothing but time at work and will go over the Yahoo site front and back..

Yeah Yahoo can do whatever we want for free.. SO that is great.. I am not going to get it started yet until we decide on the exact rules and decide a draft date and time.. It asks me for that immediately.

We've always done auto draft on yahoo. I don't know if it can do a live draft.

You can set your lineups for the whole week but can make changes up until the game starts each day.

See last year we had a live draft on Yahoo. Last year we had it so you could only make changes until midnight eastern on Sunday night and were locked in until the Next Sunday. I want to change that part for sure. JTC1984 set it up last year.. I asked him to on short notice and unfortunately he caught some flack for the rules and it was my fault for sticking him with everything.

How about this for a roster?

7 SP
2 RP


1 starter for each infield position
5 outfielders.
1 extra corner infielder
1 extra middle infielder
1 utility player

So that is a total of 22 starters 9 pitchers and 13 fielders or do you guys want it more or less. This gives us a little more value on position players than last year..

Is 8 bench roster spots enough or do we need 10??
Still open to suggestions.. Can change at any time

with a roster like this, a 12x12 (all stats i listed) is usually fun and makes for need for some (and keeps it even for same amount of categories ofor batting and pitching) requires decent managing instead of loading up one position and carrying thoroughout year.

It rewards people who draft well rounded players etc. same thing with innings pitched with pitchers, as fine, yes you can load up all your starters and log some serious innings, though probabaly at the cost of your era and whip... so on and so forth.

i think at minimum you need a 10x10 (categories)

Is this for a head to head league or is this for a seasonal points league?

Plus I think that is a lot of categories for a head to head league but if others like it then I am in for it.

its a head to head league. 12x12 is prolly a bit much -though stuff usually cancels itself out, though in email i sent i think 8 is a nice jump from the usual 5x5
