When the Pittsburgh Steelers offically released 13 year veteran defensive end Aaron Smith, the following day Smith purchased an ad in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette thanking everyone for the wonderful time he spent in Pittsburgh. Here's a part of what he said.
"As of today I am no longer a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. I leave the field and the Steelers with no regrets, and am grateful to have played for such a great organization. I feel truly blessed to have spent my entire career in the best town, playing for the most loyal fans who have loved and supported me and my family. I may no longer be on the Steeler's active roster, but I will always be a Steeler and will never forget all who made it worthwhile. Thank you fans, the Rooney family, the front office, my coaches, the equipment guys, the trainer and my great teammates. I have been truly blessed."
Right on Mr. Smith and THANK YOU sir for being such a class act!
