who went shopping today?
you're nuts!
all of my Christmas shopping will be done from right here sitting on my ass. Matter of fact, I think I'll head over to amazon right now and do a little browsing around.

There is probably not a better illustration of herd mentality than Black Friday.

My wife and I went out yesterday mid-afternoon to Wal-Mart and picked up the toys/games we were getting for the grandson, along with a few other things that we knew we were getting. None of the stuff will probably be on sale, and we wanted to be sure to get the toy stuff before it started disappearing. Very relaxed, very few people around, nice. We actually had some time to look around and research some things we're thinking about for others and for ourselves.
I might head up to the outlet mall on my way home from work, as I assume traffic will not be too bad with the holiday weekend keeping the work folks off the road, and later in the day the crowds should be a little lighter. I have nothing I HAVE to get, other than a couple of beers and whatever is drastically reduced. I can leave it or take it -that's not so bad.
Otherwise, no, I wouldn't fight the early crowds. Ugh.

I went today, stood in line for 30 min at Target, got what I wanted out in 15 min
Waited at home depot for a shop vac for 15 min, got what I wanted
Walked into Radio Shack aka The Shack, and got some free cd/dvd media and some ear buds for the kids.
All the while the wife was in Kohls. (all 4 places are in walking distance of each other)
Then we went to menards, walmart toys r us
Then back to target to return what I got this morning
Then to Sams Club to get what we really wanted at target (dual screen dvd players that play two different or the same movies)
Came home ordered my gps on amazon
I pretty much shopped for myself today, now I just have to get the wife some stuff later. Wasn't too bad really
Toys R US was the worst place all day and they opened at midnight

Mall? No chance. I am buying a Christmas tree tonight. I did order my wife a coat for Christmas from JCrew.com this morning and myself a pair of Costa sunglasses from ebay. Not sure if any of that counts as shopping....

Hey, lawtchan, have a great time on the cruise. Just remember to tie that camera strap around your neck when you're leaning over the side of the boat to see how far down the ocean is - after about 14 of their "special-cocktail-of-the-daze".

Went to Wal-Mart about noon. Couldn't believe how few people were there. Much less than a normal Saturday or Sunday.
