Inglorious Bastards 22-1

There is almost always a big upset or unexpected at Academy Awards...

Avatar and Hurt Locker are very big favorites BUT..

Sci Fi movies rarely win best picture;

Hurt Locker was seen by next to no one ( very low box office)

Inglorious Bastards is one of Tarrentinos better pictures
with a lock on best supporting actor, the fact that it re-addresses Hitler and the Jews does not hurt it for old times sake..

Up is a wild card, but animated does not win best picture..

Inglorious is a decent compromise and at 22-1 WTF....$25 pays $550
probably will not win, but like the odds....

Played "Hurt Locker" last week and still think it has value at anything -120 or less.


Over the years its been harder and harder to make any money on these awards because of the low limits and the lines get assaulted when some inside info gets slipped out. For instance, who wants to lay six grand down to make two hundred bucks on Waltz winning best supporting actor.
Hes gonna win. Still, cant justify those odds and have to put three hundo down to pay for a 12 pack of Bud Light.


One of the more open betting opp is in Foreign Film category, so anyone with some info on that would be appreciated.

basterds has a great chance because of the type of voting this year.....will be in everyones top 2-4, cant say that about hurt or avatar

anybody know if "hurt locker" had a more anti or pro-military lean?......

i`m curious because ,without being political,i can`t see oscar voters voting for a movie that has a pro-war/pro-military bent....

might help make my decision on whether to throw a few bucks down on it or maybe take that flyer dead money was talking about with "basterds" or "avatar"...

All massive faves won.....I parlayed a bunch of em....massive faves win almost all the time in Oscars.

The only little upsets were the screenplays.......

Also Hurt Locker at +100 was a nice winner
