Adam Sandler's -- GROWN UPS

From Intertops.com

Box Office Opening Weekend Gross: GROWN UPS

Total Opening 3-Day Weekend Box Office: Friday 25th June to Sunday 27th June
U.S. & Canada box office sales only.
USD 28 Million to USD 34 Million +150
USD 34 Million to USD 40 Million +150
USD 40 Million or more +225
USD 28 Million or less +350

Lee's Movie predictions:

Adam Sandler movies usually do very well so I'm thinking 40 million or more for+200 has good value, especially with tracking being close to that amount.

Tacking from Hollywood Reporter.com

FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER:

Fox's "Knight and Day," looking to jump-start the weekend, didn't exactly gun its engines as it opened Wednesday to $3.8 million.

But between "Knight," with its blend of romance, screwball comedy and action, and Sony's "Grown Ups," which offers broad slapstick, industryites are hoping this week's wide openers prove sufficiently complementary to shape a third straight solid session at the domestic boxoffice.

"Grown Ups" should emerge as a strong No. 2, though, offering up Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider in a laughs-filled reunion of high school basketball teammates. Dennis Dugan ("You Don't Mess With the Zohan") directed the PG-13 pic. Tracking suggests a $40 million debut for the movie, whose production cost was in the $70 million range.

Just spoke with a friend whose son works at a theater and was told that advance tickets sales for Grown Ups is not very good at all.

This is a pretty reliable source so TRACKING is dead wrong this week.

Here are my official plays for Grown UPs.

splitting it with:

28 million or less. +400

l28 million - 34 million +150

good Luck!!

Pulled in 14 m on Friday.

Looks like tracking was right. No matter how studpid a movie looks if Adam Sandler and friends are iinvolved it's doing good business.

Hopefully everyone else went with tracking.

Finally got around to watching the download of this last night and it was one of the worst comedy flicks with stars in it that I have seen in a LONG time.

I thought Chris Rock was black. After seeing him in this movie has me wondering.

What other books can you bet on this besides Intertops?
