the fed is on hold, slow slow growth, and portfolio mess
the fed made the announcement that rates will stay low longer than expected, not that many thought rates would fly up higher.
the fed has put everything on hold until 2015, well late 2014. this is good news at first as the markets jumped on the news, and low rates make equities and bonds more appealing.
Still if also means the fed expects growth to stay at very low levels, which of coarse is a negative.
my two main trading portfolios have had a good 2011,and a great start to 2012, but are getting to be a mess, options can do that....hope to clean it up in the next 30 days.
