Philly Sun 2/12
WAKE UP, MJ hossplayers!!!
17 folks viewing hoss threads (don't ask me what the hell thems lookng at ), me and 16 "guests" (Peeking Toms) right now. Sheesh. Think, instead of posting picks and comments, I'll just post VALUE PLAYS for today. Seems like a fun thing to do .. and I DO recognize that we are dealing with serious stuff.. like GREEN stuff, so these ARE plays that I DO like and expect to be on every one of them today as well.
How bout, just to slow down the PTs from jumping in and out of here, I'll post one of the better ones for today at the bottom of this thread ... er, UPSIDE down AND bass ackwards. If nothing else, I can see if I can think straight while standing on my head.
Philly today:
3rd Race: no. 6, Moises @ 8-1.
4th Race: no. 3 (ESP.) and no. 1 definitely get top billings. Not "Philly super sub" prices, but decent/value odds. Names are One French Kiss and Strike Down.
5th Race: no. 2 and no. 9, 12-1 and 8-1 respectively.
6th Race: Not one of the better Value plays, but I do like the breeding and workouts on the no. 6, Good Terms, @ 10-1. Should mention that this horse is a first time starter today.
7th Race: Worked on this race but cannot come up with anything.
That's what I'm up to right now.
ɯəɹɔnɹıo
Ok, ok,.. hint -> it's a LONGshot alright. Could be another one of them 45-1 shot's for me to chalk up. Bastages better not take this one down if it wins... just can NOT forget about that.

Can you believe this damn place? I spent hours over this card and did check the weather before doing so. Weather report wasn't bad, Aq, ran, in fact, Philly was the only cancelllation for Sunday.
They want to race year round and can't do so in the winter.. go figure.
I ain't gonna forget today's picks cause NOT doing so costed me a thirty something dollar wiener last time this happened (won in it's very next race after the cancelled day). Ain't gonna happen this time around.
BTW, somebody wrote on their facebook page," This is why I'm switching my focus to NYRA racing" (something just like that, don't have the exact quote in front of me now.
Wish somebody would write,"Pa. needs to legislate that racetracks, with casinos, that cancel racing for a day must also close their casinos for that entire day as well".

Keeping tabs on these hosses
Two of them ran on Monday (yesterday):
Empire Kingdom got bet down a bit and finished 2nd yesterday and completed (get this ->) a stinkin $7.00 zacta. :o
Worser, the other one was Knockout Punch, who also got bet down, just a bit.. . and ran OUTa the moola.
And MUCH worser - another horse, Striking Power (not posted though cause I had him starred from a previous day), ran 2nd at 14-1 and completed a 7-4 zacta (he was the no. 4) that paid $240+. FLUCK!... I played one of them "two hosses top/bot with 2 others". Yeah, 4,7 top/bot 5,8. Covered the no. 4 across the board play that paid great, BUT, that zacta woulda been MORE great. MUCH more GREAT. Dang.
Oh, and the no. 5 ran 3rd in that race OF COURSE. The tri was 4 figures, but I don't care bout that.. I DO care bout that damn zacta though. Been getting burned on account of not setting up the "2 horse t/b with 2 others" thingy correctly pretty often lately with the NICE paying zacta on one side of the "equation".
Really tough NOT to mention things like this and it looks bad when the picks weren't posted; IF anybody really cares (although I'm pretty sure I did post that Striking Power horse on the day I liked him and was impressed enough to put him on my Watch List even though he lost on the day I picked him (OF COURSE, again). So....
here's what the "HOSSES TO WATCH LIST" list looks like at this point (one of these is running TODAY)
Chief Thudercloud
Boy Has Rhythm
One French Kiss
Storm the Field
Kiwi Mistress
Striking Power - gonna keep this one on the list even though he paid off yesterday. Looked good yesterday. Unfortunately, it's likely that he'll go off at much lesser odds next start. Not a favorite though.
Bibbleman
Thunder Charm
Belle's Notion
My records say that probably more than one of these will payoff handsomely either to win or to complete a "Philly Suppa Sub" exacta in their next or subsequent start.
Probably one or more will be added to the list after today.
G.L. and enjoy the waces.

EXCELLENT JOB, Hammy.
IF you can play something today, take a look at the 6th and the 8th... they look like your kinda (BIG,FAT, payoffs) waces. I'll be keying the no. 4 and 7 in the tries in the 6th. The favorite is also OWNED by Dutrow and that is bad news; but it's really hard FOR ME to go past that 4 and/or 7.
Stop in here if you can play the 8th. I should be around.
Good Luck, Hamster, whatever you're up to today.

Later this afternoon, we'll know about scratches for the 8th. If you won't be around, that's OK cause ya KNOW I'll let ya know what happened.

Results
Sorry Hammy, got tied up today and didn't get to SEE a race at all. I put in the 6th and 8th bets and THOUGHT I'd be able to catch the last two races LIVE. Didn't.
Man, didn't notice results of that 4th race. I worked that race out and gave that "Celebration" horse a second look. A wheel jobbie top/bot woulda worked with that one... couldn't even consider the no.2 on it's own with the 6. Just wheeling the magic nos. every race won't work even though you do see days where it worked REALLY good, like today and just the other day too.
Poo poo happened in the 6th. Two plays in the 8th.. capped the no. 8 as the top pick and the other was the no. 6, a hoss on the "watch" list. BOTH were nice, big odds.
Turned out that the LiST was right AGAIN.... that no. 6 was a hoss to WATCH ...er, not PLAY. LOL. Did the ole wheel t/b jobbie on that one and across on the other one. AGAIN, went the wrong way.. needed the 8 to be the wheel NOT the across that board play. Still, turned a profit due to the good Place/Show(2x) price on the 8. But, AGAIN.. missed a very nice zacta. SHEET!
Keep an eye on the listed hosses, Hammy... there should be a big clicker(s) on that list.
Don't worry, I WILL let the MJers (even the Peepers) know when/if it happens.
G.L.
