Why do you say that? Because I like nice things and can afford them???? You need a wake up call in life. You are a 20 something kid that has no clue about taste...........

I don't understand what they are for. Especially in the summer. Do you wear an undershirt under your teeshirt?

next time you are in a meeting, trying looking at people's eyes instead of visually undressing them.

I always have worn them under my scrubs for work? I also wear them under dress shirts, and now my there is a strong push to convert me to wife beaters.

under a t-shirt? nope.
under anything with a collar on it? you bet.
if you don't wear one, you'll find that your nicer shirts wear out and get older faster due to soaking up all your nasty body odor. the undershirt protects your nice shirt from your body.
that and your nips won't rub and get raw.

One time I took a bus to a job interview from San Jose to Jaco. I made the bad decision to wear a white dress shirt and tie, lol,,, By the time I got there I was sweating so bad that you could see right through the shirt. Needles to say I got right back on the next bus and rode straight home missing the interview.

Yes, when wearing pressed dress shirts.
Its hot and humid here 9 months, so i live and work in vented fishing shirts and breathable s/s Patagonia island shirts. Wearing undershirts would defeat the purpose.....

I usually wear a t-shirt underneath, like others are saying. I guess its mostly for the "layered" look and sort of offsets the color of the polo. I usually wear a white one but not always and every once in awhile I'll need to take the polo off and its nice to have the tee on.
I've never understood the wife-beater tank top or whatever you call it. Those are awful.
