Ride the Blue: Dodgers Turning it Around

Rate this Entry

Donít look now but the Los Angeles Dodgers have won 10 of their last 13 and they hope the streak continues as they travel to Colorado for a weekend series and a head to head matchup against the NL West Division leaders. The madness had to stop sooner or later simply because this team has too much talent to continue their losing ways. This is the same Dodgers team that took the Houston Astros to a seventh game of the World Series. The Dodgers are not going away and they are building on a very large comeback. This series in Colorado will be a tale of the tape, it will be a litmus test. The Rockies are playing well, not stellar but well. They have a great rotation with slingers but their consistency is a question mark. They have their first real test as they welcome the boys in blue to the Mile High City.

The Dodgers are not blowing anybody away with their numbers but they are slowly but surely getting back to where they were last season. Last seasonís numbers were huge and they were steady all season long and it saw them nearly capture their first title in 30 years. What they need now is consistency from their hitting and pitching stars such as Kershaw, now that he is back what can we expect? Time will tell, he is an x factor but itís hard to bet against the likes of Clayton Kershaw. He has to prove us all wrong first.

Matt Kemp is a star and showing it with big numbers at the plate, through 53 games played Kemp has posted 19 runs, 58 hits, 14 doubles, 7 home runs, 30 RBIís, 93 TBís, a .554 slugging percentage and a .345 batting average. Justin Turner is on his way back after an extensive rehab. He has shown sign of getting back to normal and with a few more plate appearances you can bet he will make a huge impact as the season continues.

Baseball Betting - What is a MLB adjusted Run Line - How to Bet Baseball

The proverbial question in baseball always comes down to this; can the pitching hold up? The pitching must hold up in order for anyone to have a playoff shot. The Dodgers do not have anyone in the rotation with more than four wins but there are some bright spots in Kenley Jansen with 12 saves, Tony Cingrani with 10 holds, Kenta Maeda with 68 strikeouts and 4 wins and Kershaw off the DL. This rotation might not be the best in baseball but with good health, itís top ten. With a healthy Kershaw, itís top five.

The Dodgers may not be totally back but they got what they needed and that was to start winning. Now would be a goodtime to look their way and think of first fives and run lines. There are ways to beat the moneyline. Check out this weekendís action and find a great sports book that caters to baseball.
