A delivery man was injured tonight when the elevator in which he was riding came to a crashing halt at a Downtown office building.
Police said Jason Marshall, 39, injured his back and neck when the elevator descended rapidly from the 19th floor of the Grant Building at 310 Grant St., and hit the building's basement floor.
Mr. Marshall was thrown into one of the elevator's walls.
He told police he had made deliveries to the building before and never had any problems with the elevators.
Mr. Marshall was taken to Mercy Hospital.
