Eric Maynor scored 13 of his 23 points in the final 6:08 Saturday night as Virginia Commonwealth rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to beat Old Dominion 80-75 and stay unbeaten in the Colonial Athletic Association.
The Rams (16-3, 8-0 CAA) trailed 46-34 with 16:13 left after Old Dominion (12-7, 5-3) capped a 23-8 ran spanning the halves.
VCU took the lead at 59-57 after a three-point play by Maynor with 7:43 to play, and went ahead to stay at 67-65 on two free throws by Maynor with 5:23 remaining. The Rams made 14 of 23 shots in the second half.
Old Dominion fell behind by as many as seven before rallying to within three in the final minute, but the Monarchs got no closer.
7,800+ waiting at The Ted Constant Center for VCU tomorrow after getting what ODU felt like was a hose job in Richmond..
It will be one hell of a game and may get quite ruff..

Coach Ben Howland said Collison hurt his left shoulder against USC, although he did not know when. Collison did not practice Thursday or today. If he cannot play, Russell Westbrook will get his first career start and Arron Afflalo will be the backup.
