    the ump called timeout..

BEFORE the runner scored, stopping the defense from making any play at all..no way can the run count!!

the batter was extending his arm out…..regardless if he was standing in the batters box or not….
it looked as if he was blocking the throw back….
the easiest thing to for the umps to do here was say dead ball, no run.
i doubt either team would want to win or lose this way….

I feel the same way. Calling time, ends the play!
Hope in one hand, and shit in the other.......See which one fills up faster.

Bat and the batter were both in the batters box, not extended when the ball made contact, a throw back to the pitcher is a live ball whether it hits the batter or not, it's in the rule book.

    Run counts!

MLB will decide on the protest, but that is the right call!! IF the catcher threw the ball over the pitchers head would it still be a live ball? YES! There was no time out called until after the ball went into play and the runner crossed the plate.

all plays 1 unit, I round money lines to the nearest nickel, ie., -128 would be -130.

The umps got the call right. No timeout was called. The batter was in the batters box and didn't intentionally impede the throw back to the pitcher. It was a live ball.

Justice served......dead ball is no play. If timeout called and a runner leaves the base....he can't be thrown out. And a run can't be scored if the throw back passes the pitcher during a timeout. It's in the rule book!
