I haven't had the bowl season I'd hoped for, but I plan to go out in a blaze of glory. I'm dropping my bowl thread and beginning with a clean slate. Thanks to all of you who contributed to my thread, and especially for your support and encouragement along the way.

15* Bowl GOY: Ole Miss -3
Have to go with Eli in his last collegiate game before he begins a great pro career. Eli is the best QB in college football, and those watching today's game will see why. He also has super targets to throw to. WR Chris Collins is also a future pro, and on the other side soph WR Mike Espy will find his way to the big leagues as well. A 3rd WR, Bill Flowers, son of Richmond Flowers, turned down FSU to attend Ole Miss. Reb OL is talented and healthy. There are more big time recruits in that group than any on the Reb squad, including former high school All-Americans Doug Buckles, Chris Spencer, and Tre Stallings -- all underclassmen. RBs Tremaine Turner and Vashon Pearson will keep the Cowboy defense honest. Defense is the key here, and Rebs are much improved, ranking 13th in the nation against the run. Soph CB Travis Johnson, another future pro, is the same size as Rashaun Woods, and will be on him like a bee on honey the whole game. Johnson is the best pure athlete on the Rebs' team. Watch Jesse Mitchell in his last game at DT. Only 270, he's been the strongest man on the team since he was a sophomore. LB L. P. Spence and FS Eric Oliver will both be mentioned often as they bring down Cowboy ball carriers. Josh Fields will complete his passes and Tatum Bell will get his yards, but I look to the Rebels to prevail in the end of what promises to be a highly entertaining game.

Bowl Teaser of the Year: Ole Miss +4, over 53.

I might have big plays later on the other two games being played today after this one. Check back if interested.

Best of luck, guys!

I was waiting for your write-up NY Reb.
I agree, and think that Eli will win a superbowl before Payton does. He is groomed to be the best of the Mannings and this is his stage.
His teammates are talking about how he stayed with the team one more year, passing up million$.
I am all over Ole Miss!
Thanks!

I have a small play on the over. Note that I posted the over in my teaser. Both teams have better offenses than defenses.

I played Ole Miss big also.

Manning vs. Josh Fields is a nasty mismatch. Fields is an average QB and good for a pick or two while Manning is outstanding and will step up big and gouge the OSU secondary.

Go Rebs!!

Took 2 props bets.Never play them on players
Fields..15 completions
Woods 5 receptions
If Miss goes out ahead which they can do Fields will be playing catchup.I think he gets 15 receptions early.

Guys, I told you I'm going for a big day today. Here's the rest.

10* Tennessee -4.5
Could be a rout in the Peach. Do you know how these two teams have done in recruiting the last 5 years? I do. Vols outclass Tigers.

10* Ohio St +7
If Kansas St hadn't beaten Oklahoma and Ohio St hadn't lost to Michigan, would we get this spread? I don't think so. Look for a close game.

Teaser: Ole Miss+4, Tenn +2.5, Ohio St +14

If you really want to go for it, parlay them.

Guys, here's a teaser I like just as much as the above teaser on Ole Miss and the over:

Teaser: Tennessee -2.5, OVER 39.5.

Bowl GOY on Ole Miss is looking real good in 3rd quarter, as well as teaser.

Well, guys, a disappointment for those who had the -3 (I was on Ole Miss a couple of weeks ago at -1) but I hope you played my Teaser of the Year, which was an easy winner.

Congrats to everyone who were on Ole Miss at less than the -3, and at least no one lost any money. Thanks for your support and encouragement in this thread.

Hope everyone enjoys a profitable day!

i got them at 2.5 a few days ago then played them again at 3 today, but it was a good call, they got conservative, should of held on to that 17 pt lead. Good call.

Are you taking a victory and the 15 units on this
game with the -1 ?

You clearly posted it at the -3.

Nope, I'm taking this game as a push, as I posted it. I mentioned I had it at -1 just to share a fact, which is verified in my bowls thread, which contains my original post on this game. Today I put more on the game at -3, and raised my rating to a 15* instead of my original 7*. So my 15* was a push, but my original play on -1 was a winner for myself and for anyone else who played the game as I recommended it at that time, long before the line raised to 3. This is often why I take games early and post early enough for everyone else to benefit from the better line. In capping, timing means everything.

Guys, I'm going to go with a teaser on tonight's game: Ohio St +14, and over 34. I'm on Ohio St as it is, and can't these teams score 34 points between them? I know the under is the "big play" and that the line is moving down, but still -- 34 points? If KSU wins 20-17, we win the teaser. What's so hard about that? They do have offenses, don't they?
