One spot left.

PIT gets in with WIN and Miami, San Diego and Baltimore all LOSE.
MIA gets in with WIN and SD WIN. It doesn't matter what PIT and BAL do.
BAL gets in with a LOSS if MIA, PIT and SD LOSS.
BAL gets in with a WIN and either a SD or MIA LOSS.
SD gets in with WIN and BAL and MIA LOSS.

BAL at CIN
CLE at PIT
NYJ at MIA
KC at SD

KC is the 5th seed no matter what happens. Nothing to play for.
JETS playing to avoid a losing season.
CIN is the 3rd seed and with a loss and IND win will be 4th seed.
CLE better off with a loss.

Cincy will either let balty in then wax em in playoffs but the bengals just cant get past 1st riund every year the multi talented Bengals wind up losing but maybe with harrison in there who won superbowls with steelers can help them get there

I think it's Time to lose Marvin Lewis after this year get a hard knocks HC in there like Gruden or Cowher would be perfect

trying to think what veteran HC is around that can get benglas deep in playoffs

Den-KC-SD in playoffs is a ratings non-starter. Bal would generate the most interest immediately. But I still think Mia might be better for the big picture. Throw a bone to Florida and the southeast quadrant to maintain interest for next yr. The future prospects of Jac-TB-Atl are a little murky.

It ain't the 80s or 90s. Things have changed. There isn't a lot of loose cash around outside those who feed at the public trough via the government or Federal Reserve. I doubt the big banks will dramatically increase advertising. Things like Buf going to the Super Bowl 4 yrs in a row just can't happen anymore. A huge increase of what the networks pay kicks in next yr. The correlation between ratings and results as well the type of games towards the end of the season has become rather tight.

It doesn't always coincide with spread results but it's informative.

Two huge waves have hit the US, first in 01 then in 08, that have literally changed everything. But denial and embracing the fakery seem to be the popular choices.
