And the fourth #1 seed could be. . .

Arizona. . . you laugh but watch and see who else falls in their conference tourney.

Arizon has had two coast games winning by 20+ on the way to the Pac 10 tournament championship game. . . if they play Stanford, the Cardinal are severely undermanned without much depth. The tougher draw would definitely be Washington but after an overtime game last night against ASU, it will be interesting to see if they struggle against Stanford. . .

Frye has had his way easy so far and it shouldn't change if Arizona takes on Washington. . . he has had much success against the Huskies including the loss at Washington. Take a close look at the Wildcats for tomorrow's game depending on the line of course. . .

I just wonder if they get enough exposure and can beat that East coast bias.

The Big 10 tourney ESPN
Acc Tourney on ESPN
Big 12, I dunno Raycom? :mj07:
Con USA ESPN
Pac 10 that second class FSN
Heck the sunbelt, Valley etc were all on ESPN as well.

Arizona plays good defense this year and I would match them up well with any of the other
"Number 1 seeds". The only thing that worries me about them is that Shakur looks scared out there at times. He needs to shoot the ball like he did in the 2nd half tonite and be more proactive, unless that is what Lute is telling him what to do.

If Washington played better defense, I would give them a good chance of getting pretty deep, b/c of their depth and explosiveness. However Defense wins Championships...

Yeah, Washington would be the best in the Pac 10 if they would play some better D. . . even without it they are just a step behind the Cats right now and who knows, they may get past Stanford and show up big tomorrow. . . still gotta think Arizona is in a good spot to win given their easy games the first two

look for wash to roll up stanford--got some revenge working--last ga,me shot terrible against the cardinals--look for them to shoot better--also stanford went to the line at least 25 times more in that time=--don't think it will be the same tonight--will be a big difference

Well, I would definitely like to see Arizona play Washington again as it would be more impressive and possibly get them the 1 seed. . . if they lose to Washington then we know the first two games weren't as impressive as they looked.

I could not see AZ losing to Washington, unless:

The refs controlled this game, which Iwould have to believe they would skew to AZ, largely due to the fact if they win out, they have a chance at No 1 Seed. If Washington wins, you have 2 Num 2 seeds for the Pac 10 and 1 is surely destined for failure, because they will send one of them out east. But then again, these Pac 10 refs are about as crooked as a tired porn stars schlong.

Washington is a really good team and has beaten some great teams this year, but to me they just lack killer instinct. If they play a team that has a good ball handler that plays defense, they could be in some trouble, because they have shown that they can have tempo dictated to them.

I think washington is the better team than arizona and i also don't think that a team out of the pac 10 deserves a top seed in the tourney...UNC and Illinois are obviously locked in and I still think Wake deserves a #1 as well...i think the last # seed will go to kansas if they run the table based on their strong power ranking or kentucky if they win out in the sec...if neither of those two teams win out, which is very possible, then i can see arizona sneaking in

Won't happen. Arizona was starting to garner attention late in the year then they lost to Washington and Stoudamire played a very bad game, as well as blowing some free throws late. Best they can hope for is a 2. Whether it be fair or not.

Personally, I think Arizona deserves the 1 unless Kentucky wins the SEC. That's the only way I wouldn't give them a 1. However, if they do get a 1, they'd be in the west, and I have a feeling Gonzaga will be a 4 in the west. If that's the case, I think Arizona is going down in the sweet 16.

If you think Washington is better than Arizona then I can see an argument but I certainly can't see how anyone can say that Wake deserves a #1 seed when they lost their opening round game in their conference tourney. . . if North Carolina had lost, I would say the same. . . anyone remember Cincy a couple years ago? Walked in their conference tourney #1 in the country, lost their opening round conference tourney game and ended up with a #2 seed.

Wake does not get the fourth #1. . . it is officially up for grabs

LOL, I would LOVE to see that short little white boy for Gonzaga try and guard Stoudamire. . . lol. . . I think the Zags would have major matchup problems against Arizona even though they are better disciplined

I do like the point Adot brings up about Kansas. . . yeah, they look like they might be out of a #1 seed but their RPI ranking and other power rankings suggest it is definitely possible

If it is between Kentucky or Duke against Zona, you know Zona won't win that battle. I don't think they should either. If Kentucky goes down in the SEC tourney, which they certainly can, as well as Duke, then it is a possibility.

Stoudamire would get his without a doubt, but my personal opinion is that it wouldn't be enough. Turiaf and Morrison would push the Zags over the top. Regardless, it's a game I'd love to watch.

Frye is playing great ball right now. . . but yeah, Turiaf and Morrison might get to Radenovich and Walters. . . would be interesting to see.

I think Frye would be the wild card in that matchup. He has a great game, Arizona probably wins.

I'm not sure if the committee wants to put three ACC teams as No. 1 seeds, so I think that may work in Arizona's favor.

If Arizona gets a 2, you think they'd end up in the west? That would be my guess...

Arizona #1 seed could happen. Personally, I think Kansas will lose to OkST, who just played their bad game tonight. The loss of Langford will catch them in this game. You know the committee will take into account Wake's suspension of Paul. Kentucky will probably be the third No.1, joining Illinois and UNC. That leaves the last one up for grabs. If they should ended playing Washington and beating them soundly, who knows?

Yeah, I think they would send Arizona to the west as long as they win the Pac 10 tomorrow. . . if Washington wins then they might send them out west as a 3 seed and ship Arizona as a 3 seed somewhere else. Tournament seems so wide open this year. . . some dangerous middle seeds could get on a roll if they get some great favorable matchups based on the committee.
