what I found interesting was reading the author's bio... something just does not add up in my mind, maybe its a type, but it sure doesnt look to be.

"Following graduation from high school, the author attended college in Mississippi for two years and then joined the United States Marine Corps. Boot camp at Paris Island, South Carolina had a very profound effect on this young man. He stated that it was one of the best things that ever happened to him. His tour in the Marine Corps included such diversity as the Marine Corps Rifle Team, embassy duty, fleet recon, Viet Nam, Burma, Thailand, and the Philippines. After three years of military duty, he returned to college..."

He did all that in three years... wow. that is like a new freaking record for the most prestigious duties for someone brand new in the military... and to boot he did it all in under 3 years!
I was gonna go check out the book for some bathroom reading material, but I dont support liars.

Yeah doc:

His follow up book is going to be entitled "Medical Whores". Kind of a how-to book on doing your own everyday medical such as tonsilectomies, bunionectomy, and other minor surgery. Looks like a good read to me.

and Fast Eddie, i finally figured out why your state medical board can't get rid of incompetent doctors.....

take a wild guess as to why???

well, you should know....who is it that an idiot doctor will run to if he is about to get de-certified and what will that lawyer probably do to the state medical board????

yet another $$ generating scam where everyone loses but the lawyers and the incompetent

Doc:

Actually, thought about filing an action against God. Hope the Catholics are right about the Holy Trinity, then I got 3 deep pocket defendants (father, son and holy ghost).

No doc, I really don't want to know what you perceive to be the truth. You have a wonderful ability to ignore facts that do not comport to your very strange belief system.

I'm glad there are people like you in medicine. Keeps us med mal lawyers busy.

---just got "another" class action flyer in the mail today wanting to sign up against Western Union:rolleyes:

I also see where evidently the economy is starting to get strengthen and just when the airlines are trying to recoup from 911 fiasco they want to bury them with class actions suits on the same.---and then bitch about the economy.;)

I think I might have found your calling Ed. Ever think of working for the ACLU?

from your friend O'reilly

"---The ACLU strikes back. That's the subject of this evening's Talking Points Memo. As you may know, if you watch The Factor, I believe the American Civil Liberties Union (search) is now being run by far left secularists who want to impose a political agenda on the USA.

At one time, the ACLU was looking out for us. It is not any longer. I point to the case in Pennsylvania, where a public school educator was fired for wearing a cross around her neck. She sued, but the ACLU didn't help her. She had to get other lawyers. And she won. Federal judge ordered her back to work with full compensation.

So where was the ACLU in this case? The answer is they don't like that kind of freedom of expression. So the woman was on her own. Right now the ACLU is defending the North American Man Boy Love Association [NAMBLA] for free, saying that criminal outfit has a constitutional right to instruct adults on how to rape children.

The ACLU has filed suit against the Boy Scouts in San Diego. And a federal judge has thrown them off city property because the word "God" is in their oath. The ACLU has blocked the pledge of allegiance in Colorado because it contains the words "under God." The list goes on and on.

Now once upon a time in America, freedom of speech covered saying the word God in public. The ACLU now says you do not have the right to use spiritual references off private property. This is a group that's protecting freedom of speech? It's a joke. So now the ACLU has signed up famous people to continue the laugh track. Actors Richard Dreyfus (search), Al Pacino (search), Martin Sheen (search) and Kristin Davis (search) are all being used in commercials touting the benefits of the ACLU.

Ms. Davis has broken my heart. I love her. What are you doing, Kristen? All Americans should realize that hiding behind the First Amendment to deny people true freedom of expression is dishonest and dangerous. If the ACLU were to admit that they are a secular, far-left outfit, I'd have some respect for them, but they do not.

Let me give you one final example. The ACLU is trying to stop the California recall on October 7, saying some voting machines are not up to speed. But last November when Gray Davis was elected governor in California, the ACLU was fine with the election because it knew Davis would win. The same machines are in place now, but they want to delay the vote hoping Davis will survive.

Hypocrisy? Staggering. And you should know about it. "

Doctor, Doctor, Doctor:

You know maybe we should get rid of the lawyers. That way you can bury your mistakes without the annoyance of people asking you about why you killed that patient. Sorry about all those hassles we create.

Dont you just hate those grieving next of kin. Just keep on gettin in the way of you makin money. I didnt realize you were on to us blood sucking leaches (by the way do you still use leaches as the treatment of choice with your patients?).

You right about us drivin up the cost of business too. Just think if lawyers hadnt sued Ford on the Pinto case, they could have reduced the cost of that wonderful vehicle by about $11. Those exploding gas tanks were kinda neat. Love seein 2 year olds with webbed fingers from that burnin gasoline.

I know were wrong to make the lives of those wonderful Ford execs miserable when we exposed their little analysis of keeping the safety device out so that the shareholders could make $11 a car. Our bad.

Bummed that people are waking up to our game. What is the world coming too.

You are the funniest guy on this board.

hmmm lets see Doctors are a menace to society and attorneys are Gods gift.
I think you might have hard time even convincing the faaaar left of that.

--on your Pinto issue If case had been brought before arbitration board instead of litigation, would have been much quicker, and company and plaintiff would have come out much better--of course no cheese for the middle man.;)

---got another class action mailer today vs Western Union.
I am sure they will get every illiterate and gullible to return it.
Kind of like entering a sweepstake.

Just when the airlines start to recover from 911 I see they now are confronted with class action suit over it. --and the very same that create disaster on economy are the ones that complain about
it. But I am sure the terrorist that planned to reak havoc with our economy are cheering. My question is who are the real terrorists in terms of economy.

Excuse me Doc, second funniest guy.

Wayne, I realize you work for free and that you donate all those premiums you collect to the Bowling Green Animal Shelter but, why do you have such a problem with lawyers getting paid for keeping putz's like the good doctor in check. And what about the lawyer who loses 5 figures of his own money in experts costs in addition to his time, when liars like Freeze get up on the stand to defend their bretheren.

And you think your a gambler? I think not. Keep up your rightwing propoganda. As the good doctor said, I think people are starting to wake up to your game. Wayno, you have a wonderful ability to lie. You make a very good republican. A real American, flushing this country down the toilet while waving the American flag.

I see why Kentucky is consistantly ranked at the lowest 10% of this countrys educational system. You go boy and keep it low.

yep everyone i know goes to doctors who would mistreat them if not for the lawyers....good grief

i guess consumer demand has nothing to do with progress in this country, our country rolls on soley on the backs of lawyers who file lawsuits against people.....

one thing i forget -- any case you think always is for the "good" of America or whatever -- for example you like to take credit for lawyers making McDonald's coffee served cooler -- a great accomplishment i might add -- ranks right up there with the invention of the steam engine -- does that mean that the lawyers whom McDonald's employed to defend their case are crooks?

can't have benevolence on one side without having crooks on the other in regards to the courtroom UNLESS the whole system is a big scam

So, Mr. Ed....you have to admit lawyers are defending something wrong 50% of the time.....doing society a disservice 50 % of the time (actually way more than that as in many cases where all this arguing does is eat up taxpayer and business $$ while getting nothing accomplished)

what a great patriot you are

uhhhh.....no

i think lawyers have sabotaged our courts in this country...most trial lawyers do not have any concern for justice anymore....

its a sad state...

dr. freeze's solution?

go back to the Constitution. An accused should have a trial by his peers. There shoudl not be a bum off the street on the jury when Ken Lay is on trial. There should be business execs who decide his fate. HIS PEERS. Similarly, when doctors are trying to run out another doctor who is incompetent -- fellow doctors shoudl be on the jury!!! Not some kindergarten teacher!!! His PEERS should handle justice. When a doctor is accused of malpractice, his PEERS should decide if what he did was incompetent!!! Geez I am not qualified as of yet to decide if an OBGYN made a blatant error in a delivery!!!! ONLY AN OBGYN IS!!!!

Yet Lawyers have sabotaged the system and are now able to manipulate the "facts", ask leading questions, etc. etc. and railroad our courts.

AND LAWYERS HAVE DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT!!!!

And it is killing our economy driving up costs of getting anything productive done. And ANY service we pay for, lawyer fees directly or indirectly go into them.
