OAKLAND ATHLETICS -140 - Ted Lilly has been teasing the Yankees for years with his potential, and he may just finally be ready to fulfill that promise in an Oakland uniform. He looked very sharp in his seasonal debut, limiting the Angels to 2 runs and only 3 hits in 7.1 innings. He beat the Rangers twice last season after being traded to the A?s, allowing just 2 runs and 4 hits the last time he faced them. He is also backed by a bullpen that has performed brilliantly after a dreadful start, now sporting a group ratio of 0.87 with a 3.75 ERA, and he can also expect support from an offense that is hitting a remarkable .339 vs. right-handed pitching so far! Lewis is an ordinary pitcher at best, and I just don?t see him cooling off these Oakland bats. He allowed 3 earned run and 10 Men on Base in 6.2 innings in his first start this season. For all of their reputation of being an offensive oriented team, Texas only has an ordinary team batting average of .248, and they have been outscored in their 5 home games by an average of 7.20 to 4.00, an incredible differential of ?3.20 runs per game.
