Am I the only one that thinks Bama should NOT get a rematch???

Bama had their shot at home and lost...

That would mean LSU would have to beat Bama twice and Bama would only have to win once...

It would also mean LSU would have to win out... including a game with #8 Arkansas... and win the SECCG just to get to the NC game... and all Bama would have to do is beat MSU, Ga Sou, and Aub...

Keep in mind both Ok St and Stanford would have to lose...

No, I agree 100%. Bama loses at home so no way they should get a rematch. I am sorry to the Bama nation, but win at home. Rematch always favors the team that lost, and LSU should not have to win again.

Agree with everyone above, no way. You lost at HOME, enough said and LSU should not have to beat you 2x's to win NC, plus I truly dont believe you should have a chance at the current NC with the system in place IF you dont win your own conference.

Any way you look at I am hoping for a mess every which way. I am hoping they all lose, LSU OkST and Stanford or all win out to create a true shitstorm.

so if stan looses to ore (could happen)
and
osu looses to ok (could happen)

who "deserves" a shot at the title game???

boise? (are they really better than any of the teams listed below)
bama? (lost to lsu)
okla? (who lost to tt)
stan? (who lost to ore)
ore? (didnt the already lose to lsu)

lsu has to play SOMEBODY.....if stan AND ok st lose, why wouldnt there be a rematch??

If Bama gets a rematch they would be getting rewarded for losing a home game.LSU will have to win out and play an extra game-at a neutral site- in the SEC Championship while Bama sits home, after playing MSU,Ga Sou.,and AU,and waits for the BCS Championship Game?

Is that happens all hell will break loose I would imagine. And if that is the scenario that would play out then LSU would have been better off losing Saturday.Of course everybody knows anybody other than Bama,Notre Dame, and a few others would have dropped further than Bama did after this loss.LSU wouldn't have been 3rd the day after losing this game I don't believe?

Because Bama's lone loss was to LSU at home, while Oregon's lone loss, also to LSU, took place on a neutral field, which was 75% LSU fans from what I've heard. I would vote Oreg #2 if Oreg, LSU and Bama win out and Stan and Okie St lose.

IMO the only way that Bama could be considered for a rematch is if besides LSU, there are no undefeated teams left. Otherwise, no!

If Georgia wins the SEC East and is competitive with LSU, then Boise might get a shot.

Boise better be pulling for UGA the rest of the way

IMO, a 1 loss Okie St, Okie, Stan, Oregon and Bama all would deserve a shot ahead of an undefeated Boise.

If Stan or Okie St remain undefeated I give them the nod over bama. If Okie St loses on the road to a ranked foe, then I give Okie St the nod. If stan loses to Oreg and Oreg goes undefeated rest of the way, I gove the nod to Oreg

Exactly. This is Boise's main hope imo. UGA to play LSU tight or defeat LSU. If LSU makes it to the SEC title game, that is.....

Only scenario that could possibly justify a rematch..

stanford, ok. state lose

LSU loses to Arkansas..which leaves a 3-way tie in the SEC West. Bama would probably move ahead of LSU in the BCS if they lose to Arkansas. The tie breeaker in the SEC is highest BCS ranking goes to championship game. That would put Bama in the SEC championship game. If that takes place and Bama wins out that is the only way it would happen imo.

Arkansas would also have to win out in conference play for that 3-way tie.

Only thing I see wrong with that argument is that you can't use the neutral field with LSU fans dominating the attendance angle... It will be 10x worse with the NC game being in Nola

i just dont think two teams from the same confrence should be in title game...

if we are going to totally disregard every other team in the nation simply because they play in inferior conferences why not allow the SEC championship game decide the national champ then....

bama most likely not gonna win conference, shouldnt have chance for the title...:nono:

and dont give me the packers didnt win their division argument....if there was a playoffs in college football, i would glady say i have no problem with bama winning it as a "wildcard", but when you have the bcs set up to decide the best teams from each confrence, dont think two teams from same confrence should ever be in big game...

just my opinion
