The Denver Broncos will go into the 2014 season without their leading tackler from a year ago. The Broncos announced on Tuesday that starting weakside linebacker Danny Trevathan will miss six-to-eight weeks with a medial tibial impaction fracture in his left knee. However, he will not undergo surgery. The 24-year-old Trevathan had a team-high 124 tackles in 2013 with two sacks, three interceptions and four forced fumbles. The team expects Trevathan to return in time for a Week 5 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Head coach John Fox indicated that Brandon Marshall, Lamin Barrow and Corey Nelson will compete for the starting WLB in Trevathan's absence.

He's back. Nearly eight months after undergoing back surgery that ended his 2013 season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo announced that he will make his preseason debut against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night. "I think you have to play in the preseason," Romo said. "Obviously, some people can't, but I do know from my perspective, this game is not just something where you can show up and think that you can do it." Romo sat out last Thursday's preseason opener against the San Diego Chargers as a precautionary measure.

They made it to the SB without their starting left tackle and Von Miller last year. They can survive without Trevathan the first month of the season. Crossing my fingers that the injury bug moves on now. How about hitting up the Seahawks and the Ravens? :SIB
