Thanks for being honest about it. Most are not or should I say they never answer it directly.
I was invited to church today and I declined. Been busy but would not go anyway but I would if I had time do the other things that the church my sister goes to does like help with breakfast serving and giving to people in the community. I think when church does that then I think it is great. Hypocritical a bit maybe but if church keeps a person from drinking his liver away or mething out then I am all for it. :0074
I have cared for many elderly people and welll not so many elderly people who have religion as there only way of believing, socialization, and for living and I am all for that too.

This thread has proven to be an educational experience and has certainly solidified fact on question of who is more tolerant of others.

Wayne: If that is what your takeaway is, you had to have come up with that before reading the thread.
Starts with a guy asking who are atheists. A couple believers have to make it clear they are not atheists, then Skulnik pops in to say that he'd like to see if we change our tune when we're on our death beds. Buddy then decides to give us all a sermon that nobody asked for. Who's intolerant of who? Don't blame the people that defend their beliefs when challenged....at least they put up a fight instead of standing behind the "Faith or I don't have to defend my beliefs to you" defense.
In this thread, and in my past experience, I've found more hatred, condescension and intolerance spewed from my side, which is the atheist/agnostic side. This is, of course, merely an opinion.

but it seems thats all these threads do any way...nothing ever accomplished and many over generalizations about "most Christians" are this and that...Pointless to argue over something we won't know living on the earth...I don't get it.

That was your opinion before you even entered the thread.
It very well may be true or untrue but you are pretty set in your beliefs and not one thing in this thread created that opinion.
