Where it is real F ing COLD
Had a draft in a league I signed up for on a website just to kill time. I did not study at all, had ninth pick and took Rodgers. 12 team league and also have RBs green ellis, d williams, Ingram, and r williams, wr Jennings, rice, Simpson, and Edwards. TE gates and z miller

Have 2 more leagues and may enter more. New draft stategy.

1. Running Backs and Wides are top heavy and the depth of these positions seem to be a crapshoot. After the top 12 backs and top 12 wides it is slim pickings.

2. Qbs are deep this year and I am going to try to get a tandem of stafford and Bradford. If if if stafford stays healthy then he is top 5 material and Bradford may breakout. I think I can get these guys later rounds like 6, 7, and 8.

3. Who are the top 2 wides in st Louis. Somebody there has to break out. Is it going to be Donnie Avery then who? When can you get Avery,

4 who are going to be sleepers and who is going to bust? Does Vick bust this year or get hurt? I think so but I don't know. Anybody got some good info?

I am definitely spending first 4 rounds on RBs wrs and maybe a tight end . Get stafford and Bradford in rounds 5, 6, or 7 pending on how it goes and what position players are available.

I read somewhere that over 40% of the top 20 rbs and wrs drafted do NOT end up the year in the top 20 in scoring at their respective positions.

QBs far more consistent.

Load up rbs and wrs in the second half of your draft in hopes of catching some of those top 20 scorers who were not drafted in the top 20.

Never ever take a kicker before the last round

More often than not you can also wait very late on taking a defense.

Yep QBs are far more consistent and you can get a good consistent QB late in the draft.

I will stick with taking my chances at other positions early cause I want to increase my odds of getting the ones that will end up in that top 40 percent

Load up on rbs and wide receivers the 2nd half of your draft? You will have no shot at winning, you would be better off going with an auto draft, then check you team when done.

Amendola.....:0074 STL had a scrimmage last Sunday and he had 7 catches for 90 yards. Bradford LOVES throwing to this guy!!! Rams are gonna put up points this year...and be in the hunt for that division!!

I think another sleeper from this Rams WR group could be Brandon Gibson... I know most people are probably asking Brandon WHO??? But apparently those familiar with the Rams practices and offensive scheme this year say Gibson is going to be heavily involved and as of now he's the #1 WR at the Split End position (the X reciever) on the depth chart over Mike Sims-Walker and others like Avery and Alexander who are dealing with knee injuries. AND don't forget that Josh McDaniels is the O-Coordinator for the Rams. Remeber what he did with Brandon Lloyd last year? Nobody knew him before McDaniels came along either...

This could be a whole heap of nothing, but a late round flyer on this guy could be worth it. He's not on anybodys radar and you could nab him with the very last pick in your draft if you're willing to use the roster spot. I like Amendola too, especially in PPR leagues, but if this guy Gibson holds on to the starting reciever spot, which all indications up to now back that up, then he could be that breakout WR that we see come out of nowhere every year.

GL to everyone in their fantasy drafts this year. I hope people will be more active in the fantasy forum here from week to week and I look forward to both seeking and dispensing advice throughout the season.

I'm no guru, but I'm certainly willing to offer my insight as long as people are willing to give some advice back when I have a question. I know this isn't a fantasy forum here at madjacks, but I like the people here and I hope we can all gain something from helping each other out just as we do with sports betting. :toast:

I know this isn't a fantasy forum here at madjacks :toast:

all sorts of people that come here live in a fantasy world.

hell some of them still think college football is played by amateurs ..

and others think money management means making sure you are the banker in Monopoly.

Always willing to add a little to the selection process..

GOOD LUCK...and.."Keep Smiling"
