every post is issued a post number by the software.
since we changed software a few times and moved the site 3 times over the years, we lost some posts, threads, whatever.
to be exact, we have lost 8912 posts. the counter on the home page only reflects the amount of posts that are stored in the database and not the true post number.
in other words, when the counter hits 1,000,000 the post number will be 1,008,912.
since we will have many posts at the last minute we will have to search for the winning post number 1,008,912 to see who actually got that post you have to go into a thread (probably the thread with 1000+ replies) right click on the page, click "view source" and scroll down to find that post and who posted it.
i will make the official announcement after i find the post but i'm telling you this so you can look for yourself, if you want to, while i am.
