Canada
Innocent and spending year after year in prison would suck.

Executed......that would really suck.:scared

7 witnesses recant....wow:eek:

The main reason Canada outlawed the death penalty was the execution of an innocent person.

I dunno if he was guilty or not, but I do know that this is seen as a black eye for us worldwide.

two guys beat the shit outta some hobo with a gun, then one of the two miscreants shoots and kills a cop......

one of the miscreants ends up getting put down( failing to even get a tingle on my give-a-shit o-meter).....

I feel the same way, Brutha.

:toast:

forget that they might have pistol whipped the hobo to death(or,maybe they were just tenderizing him?) if not for the cop......

then one of the 2 went back and pumped a bullet in the cop`s face after shooting him in the chest..

and davis` family was up to their necks in this mess...he had blood all over his underwear(maybe he was menstruating?)... so they washed his clothes drove him to atlanta that night...

i pine for the old felony murder statutes(if you are engaged in a felony, any murder perpetrated by a coconspirator is chargeable to you)....much simpler..and the lesson is solid...don`t murder or hang out with murderers...

I don't know the facts surrounding this case, but I agree with this. In NOLA, there are senseless drug and crime-related ghetto murders every day. There is a lawlessness in the slums that blows my mind. The ghetto inhabitants are desensitized to murder. We have to somehow teach the value of life.

Where it is real F ing COLD
link

all 3 of these pieces of dung deserved stoning

I remember when that happened and I am in a rage just reading the story again. I would gladly stone those fuckers, actually I would like to take a sledge hammer to all of their knee caps first.

The fact that these 3 men have allowed to live since is amazing. They were all guilty as hell and should of been put to death years ago. I am not into religion but I hope all 3 go to HELL!!

The day before his execution, Brewer told KHOU 11 News in Houston: "As far as any regrets, no, I have no regrets. No, I'd do it all over again, to tell you the truth."

I found this excerpt on wiki...

I would hate for an innocent man to be put to death for a crime he didn't commit

I do not think that is the case here from what I have read.

save troy davis! it's all bullshit to move forward a "cause" using some guilty as hell piece of shit as a rallying point.

7 witnesses recant....bs....none would have made a difference and none were called when the defense had a chance at siubsequent hearings......the guy should have been knocked off a decade ago to cheering crowds!

Ok gotcha........

And true....true

Although USA has better cereal.......no country on earth has a better cereal selection then USA:SIB

And FWIW my point about Canada and the death penalty was that the main reason it is no longer legal is because back in the 60's an innocent man was executed. I myself am for the death penalty and wish Canada had it. But it does really suck when an innocent person is killed.

"Canada eliminated the death penalty for murder on July 14, 1976, 1,481 people were sentenced to death, with 710 executed. Of those executed, 697 were men and 13 were women. The only method used in Canada for capital punishment in nonmilitary contexts was hanging. The last execution in Canada was on December 11, 1962, in Toronto"
