Have an Iphone 4 as a hotspot, the computer recognizes it but it won't connect. It had been working for a week with ease and now all of a sudden it doesn't work. I trouble shoot it and it gives me these

Airplane mode is turned on

Disconnected or improperly connected cables
?
Incorrect WEP, WPA, or WPA2 security keys or passphrases

Mismatched wireless standards

Missing updates
?
Incorrect network connection settings

Damaged or incompatible drivers
?
Hardware or software problems
I have tried to fix these with no avail. I have a cheap Gateway laptop, iPhone 4, itunes, IOS 7.0.4
I can't understand why it was working wonderfully then last night it didn't work. I have rebooted, troubleshooted with AT&T and they say it has to be with laptop cause my phone gets wifi and able to surf net off of phone. They rebooted my settings onto the tower. Any help appreciated.
