IS THERE A PLUMBER AROUND???

just got home awhile ago from the movies,and my wife said the kitchen sink faucet is not working. but the thing is the rinse hose is.water comes thru rinse hose only not the faucet???

before i start tearing the sink apart anyone here ever have tgis problem of is anyone a plumber

any advice or help is greatly appreciated

Both hot and cold water will work thru rinse hose? But not a drop of hot or cold thru facuet?

DJV, correct not a drop. when i lift handle nothing comes thru faucet,but it does come thru rinse hose?? very weird

Yes it is. Do you need to clean out end of faucet. Do you have a valve under sink you may have closed when getting something out.
I am confused. Im not much help. Your faucet could be shot or stuck. But that is a strange thing to happen.

Does water come thru the rinse hose always, or only when activated?

only when activated. normally when you use rinse hose,that shuts off faucet,but in this case never heard of this before. faucet lever is up,nothing comes out.but if i use rinse hose ,water comes thru rinse hose???

I take it you have one faucet? not seperate hot and cold water valves?
There is a small valve inside of your faucet that controls the rinse hose. This valve is stuck in the rinse hose position, which in turn, is not letting you get water thru the main tap. by opening up the faucet, you should easily be able to free this valve. It is an easy repair, but be careful, as sometimes these are plastic and can be cracked. Good Luck, let me know if you have any problems.

A1, thats kind of what I was thinking it was stuck. But I just never new of this. Hope it works out. Or already did. How do those commercials go. Are you a what ever, this case a plummer. No but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
