Jack's formula has something to do with every 4500 calories burned below your target calorie limit equlas 1 lb of weight loss. Your daily calorie limit is likely near 2000 calories, but that obviously depends on your target weight.


My formula:

1. Eliminate fried food, processed food, dessert, genetically altered food and dairy, while substituting fatty fish, egg whites and legumes for meat and substituting water for juice or soft drinks(including diet drinks). If you like cereal, then make sure it is whole grain and have it with rice milk. Do this 6 days weekly, with a cheat day once weekly. To meet these requirements, you will likely have to bring your lunch to work, which will save you $$ to boot.

2. Burn 500-600 calories 5 days weekly on treadmill, elliptical, jogging, etc. (It takes less than an hour on the elliptical to burn 550 calories. ) Lift weights 3 times weekly, even if only for 15-20 minutes.
