As President Obama prepares to unveil a new plan for the Federal Government to create jobs, evidence is rapidly piling up on how his administration is actively destroying jobs with stunning efficiency. Recent examples of this trend are enough to make anyone with even a casual respect for America?s former economic prowess hang their head in disgust.

The assault on private sector employment began in April when the democrat controlled National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a complaint seeking to force Boeing aircraft to move Boeing?s newly opened non-union production facilities in South Carolina back to its union controlled plants in Washington State. Although Boeing simply says that it is looking to open a cost effective domestic manufacturing facility (an endangered species) to employ American workers, the NLRB alleges that the company was punishing union workers in Washington for past strikes.

Despite a lack of any direct evidence that Boeing was being punitive, and the fact that the company was not laying off any union workers, the NLRB has not backed down. Against little public support and nearly universal revulsion among business leaders, the NLRB is continuing its campaign to keep Boeing from exercising its freedoms and to employ people in a manner that makes sense for its business.

The Boeing move served notice that the Obama?s loyalties were firmly tied to the Union interests that were so critical to his election in 2008. This week, the anti-business tendencies of the administration came into even sharper focus-----

Boeing, the world?s largest aerospace manufacturer, made a bold move Friday, defying the National Labor Relations Board, when it opened a new $750 million assembly plant in South Carolina.

The NLRB is fighting Boeing?s decision to open the second plant for 787 Dreamliner construction in North Charleston, S.C., instead of in Washington state, where the other final assembly plant is located.

The agency argues Boeing is retaliating against workers in Washington state to punish them for past strikes by building the plant in a right-to-work state, where unions are not as prominent.

But Boeing says it will keep the original Washington state plant open and continue to send the majority of its 787 Dreamliner business there. In fact, the company has added more than 2,000 jobs there since the 2009 decision to open a second production plant elsewhere.

?While there?s been a lot in the news recently about government attempts to force Boeing to place the second final assembly line in Puget Sound (Wash.) and close the South Carolina final assembly and delivery facility, we are confident that Boeing will prevail against the National Labor Relations Board complaint,? Boeing spokesperson Sean McCormack said in a statement. ?But today for us is not about that dispute, but instead we want to celebrate the opening of the South Carolina final assembly facility.?

NLRB spokeswoman Nancy Cleeland said the agency is taking the opening in stride.

?We expected it,? she said. ?That?s what they have said all along they were going to do.?

The dispute will come to a head on Tuesday, when Boeing and the NLRB are scheduled to start a hearing about the matter in Seattle. The NLRB filed a complaint about Boeing in April.

Boeing broke ground in November 2009 for its final assembly and delivery plant in North Charleston. The 1.2-million-square-foot plant will bring thousands of jobs to North Charleston, Boeing announced. More than 9,000 jobs were created for the construction phase, and the site will employ more than 4,000 workers once it gets up and running at full capacity.

The next few weeks will be used for training, and then Boeing will begin final assembly on the 787 Dreamliner in July. The first Dreamliner is expected in the first quarter of 2012. By 2013, they plan to produce three planes per month, to compliment the seven planes per month that the Washington state plant already makes.
................................................................

how are you blaming Obama for any of this ?

Boeing got and did exactly what they wanted to do.

The unions are just big pussys.

you just dont get it , which is most of the time:shrug:

doggie - explain this: How would any NLRB ruling "kill jobs"? Boeing is going to hire new employees, the only question is whether those jobs will be union jobs in WA or non-union in SC, but the total number of jobs will be the same.

You're sounding like azzbob with your phoney claims.

Is inertesting but not surprising that you would sacrifice jobs in your own state for political posturing-people wonder why corps won't add jobs when you you have Gumby sucking up to unions, however sad part is the increase in people such as yourself that bite because they need someone whether it be gov or union to control their lives--

Now a question for you- explain how one goes from your "family traditions"/hating ole whitey to shooting skeet-
-and is your domestic partner still with you after having her vision corrected

It'll be up to the courts to decide if the NLRB has overstepped its authority, and IMO, they have. But there's no question this was a punitive measure by Boeing management for past strikes at their Washington plant. What other possible reason could they have had for relocating the plant 3000 miles from their home turf? At least Boeing kept the facility and the jobs here in the U.S. Then again, it's not like they were going to relocate the plant from Seattle to Vancouver, where Canadian labor laws are much more pro-union.

Can you read, doggie? I take no position whether the NLRB is right or wrong, whether those jobs are in SC or WA. That is for the courts to decide.

Now, back to the original question - in what way does the NLRB decision, whichever direction it goes, "kill jobs".

It doesn't, of course, and you are just another fear and lie spreader like azzboob.

Wrong again, doggie: I don't hate "whitey". I hate bigots and morons, and you qualify as both.

In my family, responsible gun ownership is a family tradition. We shoot frequently, well and safely, and if you threaten us with violence, we will defend ourselves without hesitation.

FDR created jobs during the last catestrophic deflationary spiral we were in. He spent money. Tax money, borrowed money, any money he could find. The jobs he created were what got us out of the depression (not WWII, as some people would like to have you believe, just another lie among many). In order to get that sort of stimulus, we have to have congress. So what has congress done to help you get jobs since we voted to Tea Party into power? Anything? They won't either. If you are unemployed, by the republican's talk, it's because you're lazy, shiftless, aren't trying to get a job, are looking for a hand out. Well, you and I know better, don't we? So how do we fix it? Give full control of congress to President Obama for his second term, so that he can finally get something useful passed for people that are out of work. BTW, if you are living on extended unemployment benefits, the TP wants you to starve. If you are making less than $105,000 a year, the republicans want to increase your taxes.

Where are your comments about former president Bush. He lied to the American people and he lied to congress. He drove the debt up by 5 trillion dollars. We were losing 750,000 jobs a month when Obama took office. Sure Obama has done some things wrong but my God he had a damn mess to clean up that was left by Bush and Cheney. Obama didn't cause the subprime mortgage scandal. Obama did not deregulate the banks. Obama did not start two unfunded wars. Obama did not give a trillion dollars in tax cuts to the rich. Obama did not pass an unfunded prescription drug bill for seniors. Obama may have some people working for him that are not of high moral character but he does not have any war criminals around him like Dick Cheney.
