I'm hearing comparisons to Brett Favre, and this guy and that guy, but to me and I'm a throwback person "old school", he reminds me more of Joe Theisman who played at ND and for the Skins, loves to run out of the pocket, throws are not bullet like compared to Favre, but gets the job done, this guy also looks for the favorite receiver instead the open receiver which he'll learn in the NFL if his mind is open to learn and not be a head case which he seems to be to me by his lack of maturity the last 2 years on/off the field.

Joe Theisman comp? Is it just me or does anyone agree there is a comparison there?

I was thinking Fran Tarkenton too, although I didn't see a whole lot of him.

I saw a lot of Fran Tark with both the Gints and Vikes, he scrambled around with his head cutt off a lot like Johnny M does, and both throw the "flutter" ball, not a ton of zip on it like Favre threw, Favre probably bruised a lot of receivers ribs, Johnny's passes look soft in comparison and a lot like Tark, Theisman threw pretty good bulletts, also wasn't that tall and NFL made him look small.

Johnny will sell tickets, but I'm nto counting on him being a turnaround guy like Russell Wilson did for Seahawks.

But who knows.
