CONGRATS TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to Texas team, Mack Brown and their fans. Especially Texas fans at this site. Both teams should be congratulated for a hard fought championship caliber game. USC lost the game to a very special player in Vince Young. I now know how other teams felt when Reggie Bush was making them look bad............it happens. Same with Leinart.

Surprisingly I don't feel bad about this loss. (sad I am but in a proud way) I knew USC was eventually going to lose, (i just hoped it was next year) but this is the type of game I wanted USC to lose. ND this year was one of them too. Both teams competed and both deserved to win. Fans should be proud of both teams.

It was a hell of a run. Few teams in D1A have won 34 in a row. USC makes that first down the game is over, but it was not to be. That's football.

The USC seniors gave me the best four years of Trojan football that I have ever experienced. I could not be any prouder of this USC team. What they have done is unreal and I have enjoyed the ride. I look forward to next year's season.

I'll post my opinion/analysis on the game etc. but after I watch the game again on TV. You miss a lot of things watching game live. I also have not looked at all the threads at this site but will enjoy looking at them later tonight or tom. morning. Might take me a while to read it but it will be fun. I just wanted to post my congrats to the Texas Longhorns the new CFB NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!

Hookem Horns!

That's very big of you Scott. You show good sportsmanship, and that is rare these days. I'm sorry you lost your money.

Don't bother with the post game analysis. It was a close game, but your "D" played ugly. Its like the old expression: a Vince Young in the hand was better than a Leinert and Bush.

Scott, I appreciate this move. I definately jumped on you after this win, but man I took months of you laughing & doubting Texas. You mocked them in every way & if you dont believe re read some your threads.

Again its nothing personal, but to the victor go the spoils.

Congrats on a helluva run for USC. You guys were great champions.

Scott, like i said, u earned some respect for me. But leteat, do you really think if SC won we wouldnt be hearing bout it in 4page long post everyday for the next 6 months?

for every Texas "dirtbag" that has been patting ourselves on the back after a great win, there was 100 SC backer running their mouth about how you would have to be an idiot for taking Texas

Scott -- There are some haters in this forum calling for your head and demanding that you apologize and recognize, but your post was pure CLASS. GL in the future.

Scott,
Im not a fan of Texas or USC. But of my own money. I respect your opinion, and I hope you hedged! All those younger players can learn form this. I look forward to all of your continued analysis of college games

Franky :)

P.S, Lets exchange emails and talk about this a little more :)

NO I did not hedge for the game. If I was going too, I was thinking of 10k Texas ML. But I did not. :violin:

I did hedge 2h. USC was down 6, jumped out of my seat and walked up and down the RB trying to get reception. Called Pinny and bet 2h Texas +6.5 -105 odds.

$22,426 to win $21,358

All in all, I lost $1,391 on my USC futures to win it all and I end up making $5,509 profit on all my USC futures wagers this year. Not too shabby. I came close to almost winning 50k profit!

I don't regret one bit not heding the game for profit. Glad I didn't after watching the game. USC easily could have blown out Texas in 1h but fawked themselves and ended up fawking me. But these are college kids and I gambled and lost and won. THANK THE LORD USC made that FG in 1h. If USC was down 9 I think 2h would have been -8 or less and I would NOT have hedged. I was only going to hedge if I got Texas to win outright or Texas +pts for game.

If USC would have won I would have posted my 2h hedge. Like I said, I speak the truth on how much I wager and I explain why. I like to only talk about wagers that I posted but since I was at the game, i couldn't post it. I did say I am bringing my cell and if USC was down 7 and I wasn't 100% confident I would hedge. Well USC was down 6 and I was not 100% confident. USC was way too sloppy 1h for my liking.

Just to make sure nobody thinks I am shady, here is screen shot of my "LOSING" wagers and my only "WINNER" for the night. :violin:

I had 22,426 in my pinny account and that is why the odd number. I called them and said I want to risk the balance, and they had to get it approved but it was easy and fast. Pinny is awesome book. Other books I might have been limited. I had rougly another 20k spread out at betmill, betcris and mybookie. I came close to saying, FAWK it and betting 30k on Texas 2h and taking guaranteed profit of roughly 10k. (give or take) But I knew USC been 2h team all year and they were only down 6. When USC was up 11 in 4th, I was happy I didn't bet 30k or more. That is what matters. It is called gambling and I am damn lucky I was able to take a less than 10% loss on my futures wager and a huge profit from my entire USC futures wagers. DAMN LUCKY! USC could have lost to ASU, ND and FSU. Texas 2h line could have been fawked.

Many smart bettors here would have hedged for profit or middle from the start. But I am huge risk taker.

Scott,
I believe your wagers, and I think most here do also. Unlesss you are some kinda wacko that craves attention, why would you take the time to type/post all this crap :mj07: So you lost tonight, but you won over the whole season, I say congrats and continued success! :)
See you next year!
Franky :)

Thanks. It doesn't take me long to type a post. Maybe that is why my posts are long. :mj07: Post above prob. took 5min. I like to explain myself and situation. If I place a wager, everyone knows exactly my thinking etc.

Very happy to see you hedged, Scott.

Encouraged to see you in reasonably high spirits despite the lost opportunity/loss of your favorite team in the big game.

I wouldn't handle that kind of thing nearly as well, I promise you. When KU lost to Syracuse a couple years ago, I had no money on the game and was watching it at home. I still nearly threw the TV off the stand (true story)...

Aren't you glad that USC wasn't ahead by 13 at the half though? Then wouldn't you have let the play ride thinking that they would easily put Texas away in the 2nd half?

Yeah good point. That def. would have sucked. If I was at home, I could do PINNY LIVE IN GAME BETTING as option and they allow huge wagers like min. 10k sometimes higher. At the game I have to just sit there and take it like a man.

The reason I took Texas 2h is USC turned the ball over with BUSH fumble pitch, Leinart's INT, and then Leinart 4th and inches not making it. ALL IN 1h. That is 3 legit scoring chances. USC came away with ZERO pts and gave Texas hope.

USC should have scored min. 9pts and max. 21pts. Right then and there I knew USC isn't playing USC football. But they still could beat Texas (and almost did) but I was not going to risk 20k on it. Glad I was able to buy back. Got lucky!
