I thought that too, but they took away the spike play to review the catch.
My question is, would they have reviewed the catch if the Bengals had failed to stop the clock with time left by spiking the ball? What if time had run out?
The commentators did not address this. Simms was just harping on about it being incomplete and getting everything wrong as usual. He gets worse every year.
