Bucs, that picture that Scott posted is a type of cystoscope, and he's posting horror type stories, but unfortunately, that stuff is true. I've never had to experience it, thank goodness, but imagine shoving something the size of a marble through a straw, and u get an idea. Hope u can do without that. He's right about them also doing that a lot as in-office procedure, and it's brutal!!
Bucs, hope u get to feeling better. The tamusolin (Flomax) is to help you pee. Cephelaxin is for an infection (usually for simple skin infections, but many bacteria are resistant to it now. Rarely if ever see it used for bladder/kidney infections, so idk on that one). Lortab/Percocet for pain, and they probably gave u Promethazine/Phenergan for nausea.
I've had one kidney stone, and I never want another. When I finally passed it, I looked down and was a little dissappointed it was that small. I was like, WTF!!?? That little thing hurt that bad?? Really?? WOW! Mine looked like a miniature cocklebur.
