Charlie Manuel gets it.

most wins in organization as manager, most wins ever at an organization, kept the STARS of the team focused all throughout season (unlike everyones favorite to win BOSTON), all around good guy.

that 8 game losing streak might hurt him, but got guys rest for October, and gave some players a chance to play in the BIG LEAGUE.

but smacked the braves in the face for 3 games to send their asses on vacation early. tomahawk chop that!!!

i might be biased, but who isnt?

Tony LaRussa will get the Manager of the Year Award almost for sure...

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Madden or Gibson in an extremely close vote. Charlie Manuel won't get it. They were expected at the beginning of the year to be the best team.

i'll give ya Gibson, but forget the others.

Boston choked, Atlanta choked:mj07: , and San Fran choked for that matter(didnt even make playoffs)

So forget Modden & LaRussa, they should be on golf course if it wasnt for the braves & red sox not showing up in september.:0002

Charlie's team was picked at the start to be the best, and after 162 games, thats EXACTLY what they are!!!:00hour

dont give me payroll excuses, etcc.. (side note: Reuben Amaro Jr. is a freaking genius too)

Charlie Manuel manager of the year for the team of the year!!!

Atlanta Boston and St. Louis all have payrolls over 100 million more than Tampa. And Tampa plays on the hardest division by far. Maddon is the manager of the year, it's not even a discussion or close. He lost Carlos pena, Soriano their closer, their shortstop etc. etc. even Longoria for almost 50 games.

The Phils have so much talent, I could manage them. I love Charlie, but HE is not the reason they won 102 games. Give the trophy to Amaro before Maunuel I say.

Maddon showed yesterday why he's the one.. most managers would look for someone on their staff to go on short rest... he takes the best availble guy , the most prepared to handel the spot, doesn't panic, now he's sittin in the cat bird seat !!! pen is rested Ace going gm 2...... It's over for TX ........ what a brilliant move to open with the kid, he knew MO0RE had (IT) !!!! who do you think will be tight today ... TX or TB ????:0002
