Yeah, I know it's been out for long time, but I just saw it now.
I enjoyed this movie. I am pretty sure Jack didn't.
SixFive would hate it because there aren't any shiny objects and non-stop explosions.
What I liked about it:
The story. A guy saves the lives of 97 people when the aircraft he is flying fails. He uses his knowledge to land as safe as possible. He just happened to be drinking that morning because he is an alcoholic.
Don Cheadle. His role is pretty good.
Denzel - give the guy 20 Oscars for his performance.
John Goodman - steals every scene.
The crash site. I liked the way it was set up and we got to see it multiple times.
The hotel room where he finds the open adjoining door. (I liked it, but at the same time it was too fucking coincidental. A bit much)
The story of how he came to be a pilot.
Realism.
I thought he ending was pretty good. Could have been worse.
What I liked least about it:
I wish they had made the crash site more of a character. (don't know if you know what I mean here)
The girl - she was okay but if felt like she was just there to break the story up.
Slow parts. (There's a few, but hey, it's a drama.)
What I liked most:
The first half hour of this movie is intense. Loved it a lot!!!!!!
