I find it interesting in this debate that people who want more gun control say that the way to stop violence is not with more violence.
Why does the presence of a gun connote violence?
I think it is pretty obvious that the presence of a police officer with a gun is a crime deterrent.
The issue with Pres Obama and his children and their school is that the school has 11 armed guards not counting the Secret Service protection.
So, having armed guards at an elite school for rich kids is not a 'violent' action but having armed guards at public schools would be?
Rich elite kids are better able to comprehend the difference between armed security staff and violent gun wielders?
Such a crock of horseshit yet at least half of America buys into it.
