While I do think that a larger portion of TV journalism is left-leaning, I have always felt that the vast majority of talk radio is right-leaning. To illustrate this point, I don't believe that I have ever heard "liberal" radio (excluding NPR which I don't think is as liberal as touted).

Well, I think I may have figured out why. These two "personalities" tonight on 88.1 in Raleigh/Durham, NC were bashing Bush and basically everyone who is Republican (whether you agree or not is not pertinent to this story).

They proceed to talk about WHEN Cheney is forced from his post and WHEN Bush steps aside when the looming Impeachment trials come around who would then serve as the President.

Neither one of these POLITICAL radio hosts even knew who would come after Cheney! This was laughable and even got me to listen further as both of these people dug themselves deeper.

Anyway, I would put up some of our elite MJers against many on political knowledge (at the very least political OPINION! ;))

I am not very politically motivated, but I was able to get down to #5 (current President being #1).

My question is this: How far can ya'll get without looking it up? I'll start you out:

#1 -- Current President
#2 -- current Vice-President
#3 -- you start

Let's be honest on this one. Do not look up the answer (which I obviously have at this point) and post it. Let's see who can honestly get the furthest.

Here's your chance to shine, but I will know if you cheat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could be wrong but I believe the next one is the Speaker of the House.

After that It gets hazy as it was supposed to be the Temporary president of the Senate who obviously replaced the vp. I'm not sure how he gets picked.

this is how it was when I was in school. Not sure if the Republican Congress got it changed as of this writing.

I agree - I think Speaker of the House is #3.

I don't know after that. For some reason, I think Senate Minority Leader is in there somewhere soon after. Now I'm curious and will look this up....

I hope "Head Coach of most recent Super Bowl champion" is somewhere on the list.

OK, I found a list that goes about 18 deep. Unfortunately my crazy notion that Senator Reid or Bill Bellichick would be in theret is not true at all. There are some crazy titles in there. Some of the people holding those positions would not be eligible though because they still have to meet Constitutional requirements.

State, Treasury, Defense are 5-6-7, House Speaker is 3. I can't remember No. 4 for the life of me. It has something to do with the Senate, though.

Dawgball as to your point of media bias..

I see it like this there may be an edge in the amount of outlets that slant to the left.Like CNN and Msnbc. However if a liberal is in the News for something illegal they do hold them over the fire (Clinton BlowJob)

But on the other hand you have Fox that do not slat right wing, they are right wing. Now with Flame thing happening they are trying to make it seem like it is not a big thing and a liberal witch hunt.

Brit hume political grapevine is a joke. People complain about that idiot rather being bias and he was, but Hume is a staunch neocon and puts his oppinion into all he reports.

In speaking of people that don't know what they are talking about and relate to opinion over fact --here is example

"Hume is a staunch neocon and puts his oppinion into all he reports"

There are numerous "from the grapevine reports here".
FIND ONE that is related to his opinion and not facts from other sources.
after you fail do so I want you to rethink your views on opinion vs fact.

on liberal press here is ANOTHER example I noted today of them playing with figures to meet their cause.

From Washington Post
A new USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup poll reminded the White House of the damage the CIA leak case has already inflicted: Eight in ten people surveyed said that aides had either broken the law or acted unethically.

the above somehow sounds just a little diff than results--

The public appeared divided about the controversy. A CNN-USA Today- Gallup poll taken over the weekend found 39 percent of Americans believe the leak of Plame's name was illegal, another 39 percent believed it was unethical but not illegal and the remainder saw nothing wrong or were not sure.

Sure haven't seen any conservative outlets with remarks "nearly 2/3 of Americans polled do not believe leak was illegal"

both are equally correct but equally deceptive--one was printed in main media outlet one was not.

Fair and balanced--you decide :)

We all must remember. Believe half of what you see and here from news papers and any news out lets. Half truths are the normal in politics. There are no perfect folks liven on this earth. Can they all stand up once in a while and say. Ya I screwed up and gain all of our respect. Yes. But remember politics is much on ego and power. Money comes after that is all put in place. And they all used the news media to play games. This announcement today about Miers. Perfect timing to move CIA leek to page 2.
Watch close you will see how the press is manipulated.
