Online Brokers

Sup Guys,

Would like to start buying and selling stocks. But I never bought and sold stocks before in my life. So the question is who is the best online broker out there. What are the fees for a transaction and so forth.
For instance Ameritrade, E-trade or TD Waterhouse?

Input is greatly appreciated.

i traded for awhile on ameritrade and never had a problem. hopefully you do better than i did. i lost about 40% of what i had then i made almost all of it back, then sold.

out here in so cal real estate is a better bet.

Ameritade 11 bucks per transaction, Scottrade 7 bucks.

But I like Ameritrade interface better though Scottrade certainly functional. No experience with others.
