Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they kill a young couple & torture someone else. If so, kind of sick of them to make a comedy out of it.

A solid B movie, and it is fucking hysterical. Then Rock in particular is funny as hell in it.And Michael Bay is pretty fucking far from an acclaimed director. He needs to stick to movies like this and stop pissing all over my childhood memories.

Yes this is based off a true story and it was more comedy than anything else. I was expecting something different in this movie myself. Its ok, not something you would even think about watching more than once.

Give it a few more months and Joker will be in with this movie review.

I just saw this on dvd last week and laughed my ass off at it.
Watching Bar Paly (the female lead), is reason enough to watch this flick.

True story - very loosely based on a true story. Very loosely. As in, the used the same names, and it took place in Miami.


Best part - The Rock snorting a line of blow off a stripper's ass. I played that over a couple of times it because I couldn't believe that someone actually put a scene like that in a movie.
+1 because the stripper was insanely hot.

For those that want the real story of what happened. Lots of stuff in the movie actually happened. But yes lots of stuff did not.

By the way Marc Schiller (portrayed onscreen as Victor Kershaw) served 46 months in prison (Medicare fraud scheme). He was facing 25 years. Him getting kidnapped and tortured lightened his sentence:

"On Wednesday, March 17, 1999, Marc Schiller was sentenced to 46 months in prison, the most lenient sentence available under federal guidelines."
