pf, Darryl was really a very special person. He helped many many people in catastrophic accidents, but also many poor inner city kids with no fathers or male authority figures in their lives in Chicago. He also after being injured lived through a fire.

Good read. Was it just me who managed to miss much of his story or was it not made very public?

Well not extremely public, and 1978 was long time ago. Darryl wasn't the publicity seeking type, did things quietly, not seeking attention.
