Nova Report
The Cats didn?t score in the last 7:30 Wednesday night and lost by 3 to Marquette. It was tough to watch. Their opponent today in DC is Georgetown (6-9) who lost Thursday to Providence by 8 but actually played a really good game. Tip today is NOON eastern. Line is Nova-14/138.5.
The Hoyas are lead by three guards: Mohammed, Harris and Carey?all averaging over 13 ppg. They can run but they also turn it over at a rate of 15 per game. Against Providence, Rice came off the bench and drained 5 3 pointers to keep Georgetown in the game vs the Friars. Defensively, these guys are the worst in the Big East though they didn?t look that bad vs Providence.
As for the Wildcats, they need to get to the rim and get to the free throw line. Defense should work well against the free wheeling Hoyas. Dixon should have another big game today. Hopefully, one of the other Cats shoots well. Expect Gillespie to play well today, also.
What will happen: no doubt Coach Wright wants the Cats to start fast so they take the crowd out of the game. If they can force turnovers, that should happen. The Hoya guards are pretty quick and they will try to run up fouls on Nova. The talent level difference overall is significant. Nova will slow down Georgetown and pull away in the second half.
