How would I win on the Islanders if the final score was 1-1??

In other words, how does the Moneyline work in Hockey?

TORONTO AT NY ISLANDERS Time: 19:05
Price Price
Toronto +0.5 -110
NY Islanders -0.5 -110

Moneyline
Toronto +130
NY Islanders -150

Over/Under
Over +5.0 -140
Under +5.0 +120

You couldn't win with the Islanders if the Final score was 1-1.

If you bet the Moneyline, you are betting on the winner of the game. If the final score is tied, the bet is a push and you get a refund of your original bet. If your original bet was $150 to win $100 your account should show a refund of $150.

If you bet the Puck Line, and you bet on the Islander -0.5 at -110 that means you are risking $110 to win $100, but the Islanders must win by more than 1/2 goal.

I hope this helps you.

They bet is on the money-line so they don't lose if the game if it is a tie (if they bet the favorite).

If you bet the money line dog, you get more of a pay-back than you would if you take the +.5 puck line.

well ya opened up a can of worms about the moneyline versus the point spread

as stated above if you bet the moneyline and the game ends in a tie your bet is a push...........

if you bet the -0.5 and the game ends in a tie you would lose.

but as you can see in the above example the Islanders pay -110 on the point spread and -150 on the moneyline.......so obviously if you bet the point spread you would win more........but is it really worth -110 and -150 in this case......I myself would rather take the moneyline at -150 and then if the game ties your bet is voided, in my opinion not worth the risk at -110 to get screwed if game ends in a tie.........see what I mean

of course we madjackers disagree on this all the time........just making you aware............:)

then there's the whole +0.5 ........where if the game ends in a tie you win...........in your above example the +0.5 pays -110 and the moneyline on the Leafs pays +130........this brings in another argument here on madjacks......take the +0.5 at -110 and win if it ties.....or go for the big payoff on the Moneyline at +130.....you can see where the debate rages.........I myself like taking the +0.5 and +1.5 bets.....but many on here never ever do......some guys on here will kick your ass if ya take the +0.5 :D

and oh yeah.........take the Leafs :p

The one way you could win on the Islanders if the game ends 1-1 is to play the Islanders +.5 on the Alternate Spreadline @ Oly or 5 Dimes.

Oly currently has the Isles +.5 -180

5 Dimes currently has the Isles +.5 -185
