Don't know if just having it for dinner is the best way to go...

Stick with Whey or Casein protein, as Casein is time released, and best taken at night. Your body will absorb this protein during rest (sleep).

Depending on the flavor protein you buy, you can add all sorts of stuff. Also depends on if you're using water or milk with the powder as a base...

Lemme know, would love to help!

I have vanilla protein powder and chocolate whey, I make them with instant pudding powder mix teaspoon for flavor, a cup of 1% milk is what I have now and 8-10 ice cubes, sometimes I add fruit also, right now I only have bananas, its my dads recipe from 25 years ago when he lost 70-80 lbs. I will get tired of the same ol same ol in a few weeks, just trying to get some other recipes to add. should I eat these all day instead of eating sensible? Let me know. Thanks man

The most common misconception to taking protein is that you need 1g/lb of body weight per day. This is just an attempt for GNC, or whoever to get your money. Not knowing your workout regimen, it's difficult to pinpoint how many you would need per day.

If you are lifting, which will add weight technically (as muscle weighs 3x fat) you will need the protein to recover. This doesn't mean recover in not being sore the next day, more of the chemical/biological healing with the protein.

If you're just looking to shed pounds, I'd recommend running. If this is not feasible due to injury, your walking will help. Ultimately it's anything in order to boost the metabolism. Be careful of those diets that say you need to eat 8 meals a day, in smaller portion, as you'll find yourself more hungry, and more likely to snack on whatever is around, which could be crap. The shakes are actually good in this regard, as the protein will satisfy the hunger your body feels during increased workout periods. I'd say 2 a day is fine.

I'd be careful of the instant pudding mix, as it may contain a lot of sugar. Also, be mindful of the amount of cholesterol that is contained in the protein shakes you're taking. 1% is good.

With Vanilla, I'll throw a couple scoops in a blender with milk, and 8 strawberries. You can use frozen, as it will save money, and not really sacrifice taste. Try experimenting with frozen fruits, you'll get extra vitamins which will also help your body absorb the protein.

If you have any other questions, you can get my email from Jack as well.

If you do get the 50lbs off you will put it back on with a diet like that.

No gimmicks....just start working out daily and eat healthy. That's the best chance to get the weight off long-term.

I would highly recommend looking at weight watchers for men. A friend of mine is a big guy, 6'5" but he's lost over 50 lbs without even working out. It's a realistic diet, they make it easy to figure out points, they allow you some cheats in there....definitely worth it if you are serious.

But really man some shake for dinner diet is not going to work long-term.
