Roy = Big game player.

I've seen it posted here several times. Dude has lost 3 straight game 7's and has given up 4 goals in each of those games.

I'm not saying the Kings win. But if the Avs win it will be because of their offense getting it all together, not because Roy is a big game goalie.

if you think roy is a loser in big games then why not bet the kings? sounds like you are fudging on that--he's no good but i'm not saying the kings will win?

What?

I was replying to threads that Roy will win the game for the Avs because he is a big game goalie, when it's just not true.

Did I ever say he's no good? No, he's a Hall of Famer. But so is Maddux and he can't buy a World Series win.

Hell, Felix has given up 5 goals in two of his game 7s.

I'd love to see the Kings win. Reading the Denver Post online today made me sick. Paige is the biggest homer I have ever read. I would love to see the Kings stick it to those cocky bastards.

I think the Avs win the game. Read my post -- it will because of their offense, notably their power play, not because of Roy.

Roy might be getting old but he has performed in the big games before and has the rings to prove it. Don't be so quick to count him out. We shall see tonite.

interesting note for nothing.......lmao...

==
the last three NHL teams to go WLLLWW @ VVHHVH (as the 2001 Kings have done) all won Game 7 ( Edmonton in the 1998 NHL Prelim round vs. Colorado; St. Louis in the 1999 NHL Prelim round vs. Phoenix; New Jersey in the 2000 Semis round vs. Philadelphia)

too big of a price for a game 7 of any nhl series to not take the underdog..

been a long standing play to take the winner of the last game to continue to win starting after the second game of series....

i think la can pop 2 goals tonight so...if you think also...

over 4.5-125 and la + the money might be a nice hedge for two individual plays

if not....well ...good luck anyway...lmao..should be a hellva of a game.

Blues are waiting

THATS MY THREADS AND To see you ""Dude"" compare Roy to Maddux IS funny.
AVs will win, Roy will beat Potvin, defense win in the series, not offense.
Experience and balance will come on top.

You guys need to freakin' relax. I was just making a point about Roy, I wasn't attacking anyone's picks. Roy is horrendously overrated as a big game goalie. He stood on his head in '86 and got the rep. McSorley plays with a legal stick in 93 and he doesn't win a cup. His cup with the Avs came because they had a scheme to shut down Detroit. The Avs win when their offense is rolling and their defense is solid, not because of Roy.

"I think the Avs win the game. Read my post --it will because of their offense, notably their power play, not because of Roy."

The Avs offense won that game, especially their power play. 5 goals, 2/3 on the PP, 36 shots.

Roy was average. 25 saves, a weak goal allowed and saved by a post.

He's a hall of famer, 3 years past his prime. He never was a big game goalie the caliber of his reputation, and he certainly isn't right now.

He was outplayed by Essensa, he was outplayed by Felix and he will be outplayed by Turek. The Avs can beat the Blues, but it will be because of their balance and especially their power play.

But without Forsberg I don't think they have much chance. Sakic with a bad wing and Forsberg with no spleen -- tough to overcome.
