I hear a dog crying, raising hell.

I open all my windows to maybe get to hear it better.

I look all around to hear where it's coming from. I think I know but I'm not sure.

I see a 30 something woman walk to her car and I can tell she hears the dog chirping as well. She walks over to a small pickup, looks in and walks away.

This is really bugging me as I keep hearing the whining. On and off but 'screaming like' when it cries out.

Finally my business is done and I drive over to the area of the sound of the dog crying, put my truck in park and walk over to the crying.

I see a small, white puppy, in a small dog carrier and I start talking to it. It's 89 out and the windows are down, both sides about 10 inches. The dog seems okay and I walk away and it starts yelping again. WTF?

There's a pet shop in the strip and I walk over to it and go inside and tell the girl at the front register about it and ask her to make an announcement.

Nobody comes forward. They are not busy at all.

I go back to the little PU, stick my hand in the window, open the door and take the dog to the PS. I tell the girl I'm in a hurry, I stole the dog, call the police and make a copy of my drivers license and here's my phone number I'm leaving.

I never heard back anything

I feel good about what I did though.

I hope the rat bastid that left that little dog in the car rots in hell.

About 5 miles down the road, thinking about the ordeal, I am thinking that the bitch is in getting her hair done at the shop a few doors down and think about going back but I didn't. I wish I did because I bet that's where the owner was.

Other than that, good job with the dog. What kind of dog was it? Don't say a HOT dog either.

i would of called the cops myself and made the biggest scene for the person who left the dog in the car.

Job well done Jack.

When i was at lsu, I once called police over a German Shepard going crazy in a hot car with windows up. I thought he was dying. Don't know what came of it, as I left the scene prior to cops arrival. I told police there was definitely a German Shepard in the car, but there may also be a small child. There wasn't a child in the car, but figured it would make them react faster.

Awesome job Jack. Have done a similar thing once, going inside to ask the Manager to make an announcement, then the guy came out of Kroger finally. I didn't have to make a scene, there were 3 other ladies jumping this guy already. He had all he could handle. He jumped in his car, they got his license plate while kicking at his car and all 3 called the police and demanded follow-up from the authorities. Don't know what happened after that.

Good job Jack, I would have probably done something similar. If my wife was with me she would have wanted to take it home. We adopted a stray chihuahua this year that was going to be put to sleep. It's great having 3 dogs but I'll never get another one - would be way too much work with 4. We sure as hell don't need a doorbell now.
