Stupid question

Growing up my family never drank egg nog. For some reason I got the impression that it has alcohol in it. Well the other day one of my friends that I live with bought some, and there apparently isn't alcohol in it. So my question is, did I just dream this up, or is there a holiday drink that involves egg nog?

Throw a little rum or Beam or something dark in it.

Talk about high carb/high calorie, though!!

Traditionally, it has a dark liquor added. But it comes both ways.

Hell, I have a hard enough time downing this stuff when its spiked. Ugh.

Hot spiced cider is a nice wintertime alternative, add in some cinnamon, cloves and Capt Morgan. Mmmm

you probably didn't drink any growing up because it's nasty!

There's lots of it available seasonally at any grocery store, comes in half gallon cardboard milk carton type containers.
