When is ASU going to get any respect? This is great, they are offering value week after week, b/c the bookmakers obviously have no idea what is happening. They should be at least 7 point favorites over Washington, not 3 point favorites, at home. U Dub is the MOST overrated team in the PAC-10 bar none. Lets have a looksie at their schedule...

Got killed by a top team-USC by 20. A lot of services had that game circled and got burned big time.

Beat U of A by 4, AT HOME, and U of A is probably the 9th best team in the conference. They were also outgained by 40 yards in the game.

Cal, at home, LOST straight up, by 7.

Beat up on perennial powerhouses Idaho, Wyoming, and San Jose State.

Played a good game against Mich, but that was a long time ago and the 1st game of the season.

ASU beat the #6 team in the land last week.

Beat Oregon State with DEFENSE, when they have the firepower to match with anyone.

I've wrote about the N.C. game numerous times, 4 missed FGs, 2 dropped passes in the end zone and a horrible P.I. call that cost us 7 points. We also outgained them by 179 yards. We should of beat them by 20, but that didnt happen and the game didnt matter much anyway.

Beat SDSU and E-Wash, and a respectable Central Florida team. The Nebraska game started with a whole different team.

Everyone is REALLY fired up here at ASU, and a sell-out looks like it could happen. The team has a lot of confidence after that win, and they know they can actually win the PAC-10. The public and/ or bookmakers still think Washinton is something special, and they are NOT. I made the ASU/Oregon St. game my PAC 10 game of the year, but this is my 2nd one.

Play ASU -3.

Sorry I write about ASU all the time, but they are the team I know most about, and the bookmakers are still offering to soft of lines.

When you make reference to respect, you might want to put the linesmaker first and your team second.

Sometimes he lets you win one, so he can set you up and beat you a little further down the road for a lot more of your money.

Will it be hot at gametime? If an afternoon game this lousy Washington team will wear down quick in the Arizona sun. ;)

Wash didn't dominate SJS, I recall SJS was winning that game at HT 10-0. The stats are misleading since Wash didn't show up till the 2nd H.

It just takes time for line makers to realize a traditionally weak team is strong or vice-versa. The examples this year are endless: airforce, cal, nebraska, uconn are the first to come to mind. Anyway gl I see ASU as a great bet even though I may just buy
the point, i HAVE A LOCAL WITH 3' !!!! :D

UW hasnt covered since opener at Mich (WY line is iffy) ...

This will be UW's 3rd straight trip to tempe, winnng the last 2 in games they easily coulda lost (i think devils have a memory of those, dont you?)

UW has no running game, relying on picket to throw for 400 to win (but they have awesome wrs) ... if asu can knock Cody down a # of times they should win (hes a rodeo kid, tho and tuff as beef jerky)... UW 2ndary worst in pac-10 ...

slick rick's magic ran out when TUI left, maybe a lot of you dont know this, but UW prob coulda lost about 6 more games since 2000 but had to be most fortunate team in USA in coming back ... well, this year they are 1-2 in games they used to win thru shamrocks and talismans...

If asu is focused and crowd is LOUD, they shoudl exact their revenge ... i bought 1/2 pt at Carib to 2.5 yest ...

good luck,
pt1gard in seattle

ps please update on asu injuries of signicance

-Night Game temp around 68

- WASH IS IN THE BOTTOM 5 IN PASS DEFENSE IN THE NCAA

-ASU is coming off a 500+ passing game and may have the best qb+wr combo in the nation

- ASU is expecting its first crowd of over 60000 in a game not involving Uof A since its home opener in 98 when they were national ranked 8 to start the year

IM ON ASU HUGE

Superbear-As for the weather, the game is at 7:00 so it should be a perfect 70 degrees. I love Tempe.

Pt1gard-Yeah, we lost to U Dub by a last second FG last year. We got dominated in the 1st half, and Krohn fumbled on the #9 yard line. We came roaring back in the 2nd, but too little to late. I think we are head and shoulders above the team last year, so if we lost by 2 last year, and I consider Washington to be worse than last year, I really like our chances this year.

As for injury updates, 3rd down RB Mike Williams still has an undisclosed injury, no one knows whats going on. He left the Oregon game due to an injury to his knee or ankle, but Dirk never talks about injuries until a lot closer to game time.
