Alright, I can't put up or shut up against everyone on here. But I will take up Gman2 and Husker Nation on this friendly wager.

I say the too small, too weak, too undefeated St. Joe's Hawks will make it farther in the dance than...

Zaga (vs. Gman)
OkSt (vs. HuskerNation)

Each for nickels.

All prize money will be given to a third party prior to the start of the tournament. If you reply in this thread that you are in, there is no backing out because of whatever the brackets show.

A few disclaimers:

1) Even though I am currently in Philly, I am not a Philly native, and am not a big St. Joe's fan.

2) This is really more for fun than anything else. I'm not saying St.Joes is the greatest team ever, so don't start with the crap. Just saying everyone has underestimated them all year. And they can play some ball, and I think they will.

bombs, I'm in for a nick!!! I'm a man of my word. Let me know how we can make this official. I'll also put up any one of my rookie cards against yours that are worth 2 units.

my disclaimer:

* according to yahoo.com's mapquest thing- cleveland to spokane is a 2192.7 mile excursion. no west coast bias here ;)

* like bombs- i think we have a mutual respect for both teams. theres not a whole lot of bad things that i can say about the hawks and what theyve accomplished. but i just feel -- unequivocally -- that the zags go deeper into the dance.

We have 2 options:

1) The honor system.

2) Give all monies to a 3rd party on March 16th.

I am in favor of #2.

I am not sure who would be the best 3rd party.

I'm considering an extra twist to this. Winner is obligated to donate half of his winnings to a charity of the winner's choice. I do like this idea. It adds philanthropy to the equation. Always good.

Please respond if you like the charity idea. I think it is nice and just adds to the fun.

I think you guys do need to clarify one thing - is it a push if they lose in the same round? One could argue that betting a team "goes farther" is a loss if they tie.

hard to tell I am a lawyer isnt it ;)

It's a tie if they lose in the same round.

Neteller is best for me, since Mjalam responded first, and has many a post at Madjacks, he will be the 3rd party.

Everyone email Mjalam.

RESPOND IN THIS POST IF YOU AGREE TO THE CHARITY IDEA.

IT IS AS FOLLOWS:

The winner is obligated to donate half of his winnings to a charity of his choice. We will all play for a charity.
