If your going to return Rice's jersey, maybe consider changing teams. Since it has been proven that Bisciotti and Newsome lobbied for leniency for this dirtbag why would you support this franchise?

I don`t see where lobbying for leniency is the back breaker here...he was a loyal employee with a solid record of community service...

my problem is with this quote from the article I`m linking to:

Rice?s attorney, Michael J. Diamondstein, allegedly obtained a copy of the inside-the-elevator video in April, and according to ESPN, Ravens president Dick Cass did not request to view it. Instead, the Ravens focused on making sure the video never became public, ESPN reported.

if that can be proven, the ravens are f-cked royally...

a slimy f`ing mess....

No way I would stand in a line that long for anything. Especially a stinking Jersey.

Loyal employee or solid record should have gone out the window when the Ravens saw the left hook. And why should there be any lobbying? Who the fuck are the Ravens to give opinions on consequences by the league? I don't hear Minnesota, Arizona, Carolina, or any other team with player troubles giving opinions to the league.

read the quote at the top....it all depends on what the ravens` brass did behind the scenes and what can be proven as fact.....no love lost here for rice or the ravens` brass if they had access to the tape and chose not to see it....or tried to keep it from going public.....

but you have to show proof of allegations or it`s just a witch hunt.....

btw,do you really doubt that no other teams have conversations with the league office regarding potential suspensions of their players?.....

c`mon man....

From what I have read it sounds like the tape inside the elevator was shown to the Ravens back in April. And no, I dont think other teams lobby to the league after a video shows the violent act. Nobody lobbies like the Ravens. Dont you remember a few years back they whined about having to play on primetime in Pittsburgh? I dont get it?
