"I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer,
A helluva, helluva, helluva, helluva, hell of an engineer,
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear,
I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.
Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I'd dress her in White and Gold,
And put her on the campus, to cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I'll tell you what he'd do.
He would yell, "To Hell with Georgia," like his daddy used to do.
Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds,
A college bell to put it in and a clapper to stir it around.
I'd drink to all good fellows who come from far and near.
I'm a ramblin', gamblin', hell of an engineer."

Now....what you've all been waiting for -

My analysis - Georgia Tech -6 @ NCST

Short and sweet.

The Wolfpack has licked the bucket their last three games. 0-3 SU / O-3 ats. BUT all of these ats losses have been by less than six points. This tells me they were playing ALMOST well enough to snag a cover. Didn't happen, but I'm giving them a passing grade for effort.

Gt is 6-2 SU / 4-3 ats

Of their seven liined games, Gt has been cast four times in the role of a favorite.

They've gone 2-2 against the number in this role, but of their two covers, both have been by +3 ats or less.

I just don't think the Ramblin' Wreck has enough horsepower to cover in this difficult role vs a team who's been giving it their level best.

WOLFPACK +6

Be careful. State's offense sucks pretty bad. They were shutout against Virginia for 55 minutes, scoring 7 pts for the game.
Maryland held them to 6 pts for 3 qtrs. They scored 20 in that one, but 7 came from a punt return.
Jon Tenuta's D should give them fits.

State usually plays Tech close, but I like Tech here. Esp. if Ball will throw several times to Calvin Johnson and also if Ball limits mistakes.

One other note. Last year, Tech could have easily won. Down 3, they had 2nd and goal from the 3. Pass hit right off C.Johnson's hands and State picks it off.

Perhaps the best receiver in the nation remembers this and wants to atone for it?

I love GTech here. What am I missing?

Biggest thing that does worry me about State every week...if they limit mistakes they are significantly better.
But, they never do.

Under Amato, this team shoots themselves in the foot week after week, unless they are playing FSU.

Late hits, false starts, offsides, you name it. Its amazing that they are still doing it after 7 years of Chuck the chest. They are unbelievably consistent at making several unforced mistakes during a game. They have been over-aggressive for 7 years and teams that beat State run a lot of misdirection, change up the snap count, etc.

I just don't think Amato knows how huge all the penalties/mistakes are. He'd rather get a thug that runs 4.4 than a quality football player that runs 4.5 but will play with some sense.

Its funny as hell to watch and I've made a lot of money last few years.

Like I say, I really like Tech here. May play spread and ML.

I know State can both win and cover, but I wouldn't bet on it.
