Nobody's arguing they should pay more than a regular person would. The point is $18 on a $400 tab is unacceptable for anyone who got good service. It's 100 x worse for the simple fact that they have all that money and they can't even tip what a normal person would with good service.

It absolutely reflects on a person's character. Stingy at the restaurant, stingy in a whole lot of other places. Not attractive at all.

And, no, it's NOT easy work. Back in my previous life I was a server while in college. You earn every penny of it.

Yeah, I was expecting you to admit you didn't earn any of it

How would I not have earned it? We worked large sections, were often overextended. We bussed our tables for the most part. Cooks and other jobs get paid more b/c they don't get tips.

Hey, if someone gives shitty service that's one thing. But for people who go out and don't want to tip what they should with good service, that's just weak. Stay home or go to McDonald's then.

And to do so, when you have millions of dollars and got good service? Well, that's just beyond pathetic.

You missed what my point was. Never said you didn't necessarily earn it. Was saying that I didn't expect you to admit that you didn't earn it. Really? Who does?

Cooks made more $ per hour, but take home isn't comparable, nice try.

I feel like you're coming across as a bit defensive. I'm not sure why. I'm a lawyer now, that was many years ago. I worked at a family restaurant where we all worked our asses off. If someone isn't happy with his or her pay, or feel it isn't fair, they should get another job, right?

As someone who has worked her ass to earn every fucking penny I've ever made, I'm not sure why you seemingly have the attitude toward women that you do, but whatever. That's on you. I have no beef with you, I was merely stating my opinion.

LOL you're accusing me of being defensive? Honey, that's all you. I could care less, you're the one so worried about your "hard working ass." You're a lawyer now, what relevance to this discussion is that?? I guess you were putting your lawyer skills in full effect in your response by the reverse psychology, who knows?

I worked the job I had to get through while I was in college. I've long gotten a new better job. Funny, waitresses always "work their asses off," but I don't really hear waiters say that much often. The job takes minimal physical labor. Try one of those jobs and then talk to me about working your ass off.

I am going to take the side of the bad tippers, why should they have to leave more money than me or you?

Wow, seriously? Look at the examples and tell us you are wrong and would make the others leave more.

I don't give a damn if you polled 100,000 people and I was the only one who disagrees. Its my money and I'll use it how I want. Won't change my mind.

i tip way more than i should 'cause i KNOW i will get it back, even for bad service, i don't give a shit

i give a kid who opened my taxi door in mexico $5, later i hit my parlay cuz the kicker hit like a 54 yarder

i gave another kid $5 and when i was leaving a pay parking lot there was no attendant and the security waived me through, saved me $20

i had the worst orange julius in excalibur before going to the fight in vegas, and i left a buck for the girl cuz she was pretty :mj07: then i won my fight bet

:SIB
